Please Read, Piers Morgan – A West Point Think Tank Unwittingly Makes the Case For Why Citizens Need “Assault Weapons”
This is EXACTLY why the 2nd Amendment was written.-
West Point center cites dangers of ‘far right’ in U.S.
A West Point think tank has issued a paper warning America about “far right” groups such as the “anti-federalist” movement, which supports “civil activism, individual freedoms and self-government.”
The report issued this week by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.”
The center — part of the institution where men and women are molded into Army officers — posted the report Tuesday. It lumps limited government activists with three movements it identifies as “a racist/white supremacy movement, an anti-federalist movement and a fundamentalist movement.”
The West Point center typically focuses reports on al Qaeda and other Islamic extremists attempting to gain power in Asia, the Middle East and Africa through violence.
But its latest study turns inward and paints a broad brush of people it considers “far right.”
It says anti-federalists “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights. Finally, they support civil activism, individual freedoms, and self government. Extremists in the anti-federalist movement direct most their violence against the federal government and its proxies in law enforcement.”
The report also draws a link between the mainstream conservative movement and the violent “far right,” and describes liberals as “future oriented” and conservatives as living in the past.

The common (deliberate?) thinking is that racist/white supremacist groups like National Alliance, KKK, neo-nazis, the Stormfront community, and others…..are far-right.
They are totalitarian LEFTISTS. Their agendas align almost perfectly with the Democrat party. They even identify as progressives or Democrats.

I’m pretty sure that I make their lists just because of the things I say online. It’s weird that they think I’m “dangerous” just because I want to be left alone.
If you are looking for a violent hate group, look no further than Washington DC.

I’ve talked to people who have gone to those meetings. There’s always some PC asshat running the show. If someone brings up radical Islamists the moderator will then twist the statement into “Islamophobia” no one with an ounce of common sense can stand those groupthink PC sessions. The results are frequently decided before hand. Then they trot out the results of these meetings in an attempt to show how the top mil & gov people are thinking, it’s bullcrap

desire for limited government does not equate to racism.
do not them define the terms of this debate or you will lose.
on the political scale constutionalism equates to the middle while liberal, democrat, nazism or communism relates to the far left. control freaks all of them.
define the terms and use them to define the communists.

I’m not “far right” and until this last horrorshow of an election, I considered myself a mainstream citizen.
No more with that fantasy. Fact is when TSHTF and it’s entirely due to REgressive policies, whether Rs or Ds have pushed them, than you’re going to see real violence.

“Far right” means, in practice, the next domestic enemy of the federal government.
Ann Barnhardt is far-right in their view. For instance.

Well, Goddamnthemalltohell.
No wonder our military top brass is so anti-American! I was wondering how someone from the military could turn out so liberal.
Now I see that from day one they are indoctrinating them just like public schools.

These people at WEST POINT seem to have sold their hearts and souls to the Federal Government. They are being bought off, bribed, and corrupted with OUR tax dollars.
They are actively helping to create a false narrative about those of us who still believe in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
They are part of a CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT TREASON against the United States of America.
They should be COURT MARTIALED and placed on trial for TREASON.
They are an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE to their UNIFORMS!!!

3) Christian-fundamentalist.

We’ve suspected crap like this since, at least, the Ft. Hood “workplace violence” incident and the top military’s reticence on the facts of the matter.
So, do we assume that the military stands with the jackals and hyenas of socialism, or with America?
Or is it just the General Officers who have sold their souls to allah (Satan)?

Any rank above a Colonel is no longer military, but is political. They are the military version of the establishment DC politicians.
Their primary objective is to suck up to the rank above them in order to get promoted and increase their pensions, and to position themselves for their after-military career as defense industry consultants or lobbyists.
The Tea Party and libertarians are a threat to their way of life.

@Parnell: HUAC had a list of 80-134 known or suspected communists in the Truman administration. Today, HUAC would have a list of 80-134 members of the administration who are NOT communist.

The CTC began as a privately funded org to study AQ. I don’t know how they are funded today.
I’d like to see a similar report that exposes the twin national security threats of “home grown” middle eastern adepts and urban gangsters. These are two well-known and recognized sources of real terrorism.
I’ve only read a synopsis of the report, but its twisted labeling of small government supporters as terrorists should cause anyone to have a brain cramp. Truly remarkable use of Goebbels’ primary rule of propaganda — tell the big lie often enough until people believe it is true.
If anyone wants to question someone at the CTC, here is a link to the current Director (and he lists his email address):
Major Bryan C. Price http://bryancprice.com/C.V.html
It’s a fairly small org as far as I can tell. Price’s thesis is on the area of decapitating leadership in terrorist orgs. I’m making a leap here, but I would imagine that taking on something as headless as the tea party would be deeply confounding to someone as hierarchically-trained as someone like Price.
The head of the CTC is John P. Aizaid.

Well, this is interesting. Also linked to Price’s website is a major report/study of the Ft. Hood massacre in which he played a role in identifying and making recommendations on Force Security and overall recommendations. Much of the report is couched in vague terms but the recommendations made under the heading (I think it’s pg. 3) are unambiguous recommendations about people in the military who become “self-radicalized”. Quite a departure from “workplace violence.”

@Dagny: I did not expect to see any mention of street gangs in the report. However, the same compartmentalization, analysis and groupings could apply to street gangs as well as white supremacists, Christian fundamentalists, and anti-Federalists. Many street gangs are homogeneous and not tolerant of other races or cultures. Many street gangs are very territorial and resent any intrusion by outsiders or “the man” into their territory. Many street gangs are violent. Many street gangs have a strict code of conduct which must be followed. And on and on, although I have yet to hear anyone characterize a street gang as a “far right group.”
I find it ironic that on the same day that IOTW posted this, there was also a piece on Bill Ayers. Bill Ayers is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a “far right” individual, yet he clearly advocated for the violent overthrow of the Federal government and engaged in terrorist activities.

January 18th, 2013
Yes, Wyatt.
I understand fully what you’re saying. Territory + identity = a gang, or band or what Deleuze called a ‘war machine’. And often that identity runs along ethnic/racial faultines. But not always: the islamic line does not coincide with race (although is could, as we’ve seen with Malcom X).
What you’re saying makes perfect sense. We have urban gangs, and we have drug cartels, and they sometimes overlap. And we have islamic fronts (mostly affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood), that are waging ‘civilizational jihad’.
The most explosive place in America will be the places where those faultines meet. A thousand Sarajevo.
And we have also a communist line, such as Ayers and the Weather Underground. My my.
