Rubio Discusses Immigration Vision On “The O’Reilly Factor”

Home - by - January 18, 2013 - 19:45 America/New_York - 15 Comments

I expected to be disappointed with what Rubio was discussing, but found that he made sense as I watched the video. What he is proposing may work IF – and only if – the border is secured first.

Oh, and note what O’Reilly says about Obama near the end (3:56).  My eyes flew wide open and I went “Wha???”  Bill actually said THAT?

Trancript here.

So, what do you think?

As long as Barky is in the White Mosque, immigration is going to be the free-for-all it has been for the last few years.

I am not anti-immigrant, I am anti ‘open border’. I think what turns people anti immigrant is what open boarders sends to the cities. The USA advertises SNAP on Univision, so we are getting what we ask for, “Pre-Democrats*”, and that MUST stop!

*I got that phrase from the Bullpen, and don’t know who to credit for that.

It makes pretty good sense to me. And like O’Reilly says I think Obama doesn’t want to solve it, wants it to remain an issue.

I don’t trust him. He wants to allow everyone who is here illegally to stay. No.

I don’t know. I once worked with a couple of (formerly illegal) Latinas who were defending Reagan to a lefty, because Reagan had let them stay. So don’t underestimate the power of reaching out. It sends a strong message, and anyone we can transform into a TRUE American is welcome in my America.

I know this is counter to the normal conservative message, but I have lived, gone to school with, and worked among Latinos all my life, and when they are your personal friends, you can see the conundrum. The ones who got here illegally and then became citizens cannot, in good conscience, take the stand against new illegal immigrants, although sometimes they themselves are sick of the influx. The children of parents who were illegal grow up as total Americans, but are made to feel guilty if they oppose illegal immigration, because without it, they would not be here. No one wants to be a hypocrite. How to negotiate these treacherous waters without making enemies is very complicated.

I would probably be more inclined to be sympathetic to illegal immigrants if I didn’t have to listen to things like the local high school Spanish club chant “Si se puede” in the homecoming parade. Or look at LA Raza stickers on cars, or be told I’m racist for wanting immigration that works.

I will not go soft because we granted amnesty in the 60′s and didn’t fix immigration and the border. We granted amnesty in the 80′s and didn’t fix immigration and the border. To think we will fix immigration if we only grant amnesty ONE MORE TIME is foolish.

I am completely OK, with completely overhauling immigration. I will even agree to amnesty for everyone who does not have a criminal background who is in the US when immigration and border enforcement is fixed. I will not agree to anything until things are corrected because amnesty again is like raising taxes, then cutting spending, you only get the first half, the second part never seems to come around.

Can’t watch it. I can no longer stomach Bill O’Reilly. Besides his more frequent left turns, he has actually become even more rude. None of his guests can ever complete a sentence without being interrupted.

Sorry, I saw how quickly California turned into baja norte after the “reform” of the 80′s. Reagans biggest mistake in ‘compromising’ with the left.
As for sealing the border, I don’t see that happening unless we bring all the troops home and line ‘em up on the southern border.

Obozo is an ILLEGAL WHO OVERSTAYED HIS FOREIGN STUDENT VISA STATUS!!! That’s WHY he has used multiple Social Security cards that were originally assigned to other people who have long been dead. That is WHY he doesn’t want anyone nosing around his past records and he has spent $Millions (if not $Billions) of dollars hiding them and bribing/blackmailing officials and Govt. agencies to keep it secret! It’s rather obvious to anyone with an IQ above 70 who actually uses their brain and can form a coherent, logical, intelligent thought – in other words, NOT AN OBOZO VOTER!!!

O’Reilly was good when he went after organizations, like Acorn, and exposed them for the criminal and corrupt organization that we know them to be. He folded after Obozo got to him, probably by having the Arab buy Fox Television and he’s been over complimentary of Obozo ever since. I also agree that he can’t be trusted! He’s had plenty of opportunities of using his money, resources and influence to properly investigate the “Fast & Furious” and “Benghazigate” travesties and find that Obozo authorized them. He also should have done that about Obozo’s shady past that Obozo has spent millions of dollars hiding. If O’Reilly used the proceeds of his book, Tee Shirt and parphenalia sales and used that money toward investigative journalism and again doing what Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward did on exposing Watergate and tying it to Nixon, he’d not only win a Pulitzer and an Emmy, he’d help our Nation and again win the respect of all patriotic Americans and get back millions of his former fans.
