Has Oregon Sheriff Tim Mueller Come Up With a Way Out of the Madness?

We are heading toward a state of absurdity headed by the Queen of Taxes and Gun Control. Has Sheriff Mueller of Oregon given us a way out?
“We’re restricted and prohibited from enforcing all types of federal laws, including immigration laws,” he said Tuesday. “It would be unreasonable for anyone to think that I would enforce a federal firearms law.”
I agree. If we are not allowed to enforce some Federal laws, why should states be made to enforce any they do not wish to enforce? Is this a way out of the tyrannical fascist rulings by a capricious unpredictable queen? I hear he’s being advised by a certain ballerina in Chicago. Of course, no one knows how well gun control laws work better than they.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon sheriff has sent a letter to Vice President Joe Biden saying his department will not enforce any new gun laws it considers unconstitutional.
Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller, in his letter dated Monday, said politicians are “attempting to exploit the deaths of innocent victims” by supporting laws that would harm law-abiding Americans. The sheriff said he took an oath to support the Constitution, and laws preventing citizens from owning certain semi-automatic firearms and ammunition magazines would violate their rights.“We are Americans,” Mueller wrote. “We must not allow, nor shall we tolerate, the actions of criminals, no matter how heinous the crimes, to prompt politicians to enact laws that will infringe upon the liberties of responsible citizens who have broken no laws.”

Like me you were probably watching the president’s gun control speech today. Was told this morning the presentation today was a revised version that was completed just last night after a bunch of back and forth between the White House and Senate leaders. Guessing that would be Harry Reid mostly. Last week the president was ready to go all in on the executive order scenario. Confiscation was going to be in play. Then the backlash came and it forced Obama to back off. He didn’t want to but after Reid said it was a no go, and the NRA was preparing to go to war with the White House, the president was given a revised script and that is what we heard this morning. You could tell too. Obama stumbled over the words more than usual. He didn’t have the time to prep the script like he normally does. Probably fuming he was forced to read the new version also.
The president had his little moment, and was pretending it meant something, but he said nothing. That 21 (23) point plan or whatever it was, was hollow. It was a gutted version of what he was hoping to do as recently as a few days ago. Instead, he had to roll over and made a weak threat to Congress but that threat starts in the Senate and they already told him to shut up. Obama backed off. He lost this time, and it was all because of the American people. His media will try to spin it as something different, and if he gets another chance, the president will be right back to pushing for confiscation, but for now, we won this particular fight.

You are all being duped! Timmy Mueller is using this as a campaign for his own future, he does not give a shit about anyone in Linn county. If he did he would be getting these crazy people he talks about, which are his Meth community, off the streets instead up putting more guns in their hands. He is encouraging people to buy more guns, so when the Meth addict breaks into the gun junky’s home, more guns will end up in the wrong hands. FYI people don’t normally break in when you are home. I doubt you will ever know anyone if your life that has shot an intruder trying to rob them in the middle of the night. You have guns and you become a target for robbery. Now you throw military style weapons in the mix and you’ve got Tweakers with machine guns.

It’s going to come down to this…
If you’re in a red state, with a republican Gov, and your Sheriff is a Republican, then you’re safe.
If you’re in a blue state with a democrat gov and Sheriff…You might want to consider moving to a red state while you still can.
The Sheriff of our county here in Indiana has said the exact same thing that the Oregon Sheriff said, and you’re going to be hearing a lot more from local law enforcement and Republican Govs on this same issue.

If Sheriff Tim Mueller is truly stupid enough to decide what laws he will enforce, then he is either in the employ of the NRA, OR has lost his mind, letting his mouth produce extreme stupidities.

The actions by this elected local official create a sadness inside me. Not because of access to guns or gun control, but because of his and sadly his followers lack of knowledge in regards to American history. Please, I ask you with all kindness to google the the timeframe from 1800 to 1865. You will see that the results of the southern states refusing to accept that the Federal government was going to end slavery in the near future caused the first Republican president to engage in a Civil War with them. It was that republican president that realized Federal law is the law of the land, then state, then local. You can read about States, Sheriffs and many other elected officials refusing the follow Federal law becuase they put their own understanding of the Constitution above the law process itself. If you don’t want to follow a law there is a process. You have to get the law changed. You can not just decide which ones you want to follow or not. And in an attempt to make it sound better to yourself you can’t point the finger at someone else and say “well, it OK to do it because he is doing the same thing” It is still wrong. Again, this post has nothing to do with “yes we should have guns and how much the control of them should be” it has to do with how bad the action of this elected person’s action really was. And if we are all honest with ourselves we should beable to agree on that at least.
