Obama’s New Executive Orders

From The Everlasting Phelps

So Obama released his Executive Orders to Prevent Maniacs From Being Maniacs today.  I’ve taken the time to translate the summaries into plain English below:

 1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.

Tell the government to follow the law.

2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.

Tell the regulators to stop the stupid and useless regulations.

3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.

Pay the states back for the unfunded mandates that the Feds keeps making.

4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.

Tell the Attorney General to do his job.

5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.

Start another unfunded mandate. (See #3.)

6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.

Tell FDLs how to do something no one is ever going to bother to do.

7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.

Do the same thing the NRA already does, only half as well at twice the cost.

[snip]

The rest…

Like I said earlier, this is mostly window dressing.

The problem we have is that severely and violently mentally ill people are allowed to run lose on the streets, and they kill people all the time, and not just with guns.

We shut down the mental health hospitals in the US in response to a Jack Nicholson dark comedy movie, and the state of mental health treatment has been going downhill ever since. Couple hard drug use (“methamphetamine”, heroin, cocaine, what have you) with a natural proclivity of 20 something young men to have a significant psychic break, the result is violence on the streets in ever growing numbers.

We do not understand the consequences of exposing babies in the womb to hard drugs, but it happens all the time. Mis-wired kids who are overly prone to violent acting out is one of the results.

Fetal alcohol syndrome, violent video games, violent music and music videos, and hard core pornography are all things that children in our communities are inflicted with. We see the results in front of us yet our leaders are blind to do anything about the real causes, and it leaves many people with no choice but to protect themselves from other people’s children.

    Hmmmmm, nothing in there about.

    Illegal violent Felons being deported.

Nothing in there about gun checks in innercities at random that have high per capita murders.

Nothing in there about cracking down on gangs who kill innocent people and kids doing drive byes.

Nothing in there about owning guns on federally subsidized taxpayer dollars (section 8 housing), where most innercity murders occur.

Nothing in there on illegal peashake houses where shootings occur regularily.

Nothing in there about cracking down on innercity drug dealers.

Nothing in there about searches in released felons houses by parole officers.

Nothing in there about 3 strikes and your out for repeat gun offenders, or any plan to stop releasing them

Nothing in there about government employees or agents selling illegal guns.

Yep, all of his directives were and are aimed at legal, taxpaying, working class, white citizens.
…………….and his plan continues, as soon as he passes enough laws that even a speeding ticket will forbid you from owning a gun his plan to disarm via the law and trumped up charges will complete his bid for his fascists socialist takeover and transformation via enslavery and reparations..

One of the best ways to cover up poor (or nonexistent) leadership is with layers of chicken shit. This list is a classic example.

We live in an exceptionally violent society, which is getting worse all of the time. Or is this true?

1960 – 9,110 murders based upon a population of approximately 170 million people. There was a homicide rate of 5.1 per 100,000.

1975 – 20,510 murders with a population of approximately 213 million people. Homicide rate was 9.6 per 100,000.

1980 – 23,040 murders with a population of approximately 225 million people. The homicide rate was listed at 10.2 per 100,000. This was the highest homicide rate I found since 1960.

1991 – 24,700 murders with a population of approximately 252 million people. Homicide rate was 9.8 per 100,000. Incidentally, 1991 was the year with the most murders based upon the information I found.

2007 – 16,929 murders with a population of approximately 301 million people. The homicide rate was 5.9 per 100,000.

2011 – 14,612 murders with a population of approximately 311 million people. Homicide rate was not listed, but mathematically is lower than the rate in 2007 due to an increase in population and a decrease in the number of murders. (I doubt that the 9/11 casualties were included in this figure).

The number of murders and the rate of homicides has been dropping since 1990, although the population has been increasing, and is approaching 1960 levels. So, based just upon the statistics, America is actually becoming less violent as time passes, and statistically, one seems safer now than 12 years ago.

Sandy Hook, Columbine, Virginia Tech and other mass shootings are, according to the numbers, anomalies. This is not to say that treating the mentally ill or continuing to prohibit felons from possessing firearms is a bad idea, but the fact remains that the anti-gun crowd has to focus on mass shootings to justify its agenda because general crime rates do not support their gun ban agenda.
