CBN NEWS – The Obama administration has suggested using an executive order to bypass Congress if it can’t get the gun control measures it wants.
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told CBN News that members of Congress are prepared to fight such an order.
“I’m against having a king,” Paul said. “I think having a monarch is what we fought the American Revolution over and someone who wants to bypass the Constitution, bypass Congress — that’s someone who wants to act like a king or a monarch.”
“I’ve been opposed to executive orders, even with Republican presidents. But one that wants to infringe on the Second Amendment, we will fight tooth and nail,” he continued.
“And I promise you, there’ll be no rock left unturned as far as trying to stop him from usurping the Constitution, running roughshod over Congress,” he vowed. “And you will see one heck of a debate if he decides to try to do this.”

Obama won’t issue an EO. All he needs is patience and one more Supreme Court justice,and he can have the Court gut the Second Amendment. The SC decision in 2010 which affirmed the right to bear arms was a 5-4 decision.

Rand Paul may actually mean what he says, however, the GOP is a pathetic, spineless, gutless embarrassment and nothing more than the right wing of the Democratic party these days. As they often do deceivers used language to fool the people. The first amendment states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion…” When the constitution was written the word “ideology” did not exist. Had it been the first amendment would have stated “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or ideology…” I have yet to hear a conservative or anyone in the conservative media make this point.
