Ben Shapiro Predicted What Purse Morgan Would Be Doing Tonight

Home - by - January 15, 2013 - 20:31 America/New_York - 26 Comments

Last night I had the opportunity to speak with Ben Shapiro on the Andrea Shea King Show.

During the broadcast Ben said that he was invited back for a rematch with Piers tonight on CNN (9PM et.) He speculated that Piers wanted him back because the consensus was that Ben roughed up Morgan pretty badly. He also said that he fully expected that Piers was going to try and ambush him with surviving victims of shootings, or the family of the slain, in a histrionic and maudlin attempt to bully Shapiro through shame.

That’s exactly what Piers is doing. According to CNN’s broadcast sheet, Piers is expected to have a panel full of weepy peeps filled with personal anecdotes. This is classic left-wingism; trot out the tears and influence the weakest in the flock of sheeple.

Okay, this needs to be said. (And before everyone hits the ceiling calling me a ghoul, let me explain.)

I do not care about the kids in Newtown. (Let the kneejerk reaction to the horror of what I just wrote commence!)

Do I want kids to be murdered? Of course not. Do I hate kids? Of course not. Do I wish this never happened? Of course so. Do I feel bad for the parents and family of the slain? Yes. Am I cold-hearted? Well, someone has to be. You’re welcome.

We cannot allow the left to forever change the law of this land based on these 20 kids, or 100 kids. Morgan likes to site statistics out of Britain, saying that after their total gun ban, murders commissioned by guns went way down. He’ll say it again, tonight. After saying this he will  point to the graves of the kids from Newtown. The weakest among us will cave and say, through tears, “you’re right. Take the guns away.”

You have to delve deeper to discover that England has become one of the most violent countries in Europe. A hundred lives may have been saved, but thousands upon thousands have been subjected to violent assaults including rape, muggings, burglaries, home invasions, battery. The list goes on and on.  It has been a terrible trade. Sure, if you look at the kids, you might weaken, weep,  and possibly fall for the, “do it for the children.” Before you know it you’ll be donating your protection to the gun smelting plant. Don’t do it.

Have you ever come upon an odd stop sign in the middle of a street? (Meaning, not at a corner.) It’s preceded by an exhaust system-breaking series of speed bumps, followed by a series of ass-breaking speed humps. This is usually the result of ONE KID being killed on a street. It’s ludicrous. It’s not the proper response.

If Obama can characterize Ambassador Stevens as a speed bump, I think I have the capital to say the same about the Newtown kids, especially if the reaction is going to be to infringe upon the second amendment.

So, couched in these terms, no, I don’t care about the kids in Newtown. And I fully anticipate Shapiro making a similar argument tonight, but in a much more thoughtful and elegant way. But cutting through the crapcake, it will be the same argument.

you are so correct! we are not a republic, nor are we a democracy with majority rule. every damn thing these days is based on minorities. the 2nd ammendment should not even be attempted to be decimated due to a FEW, regardless of their age. I for one am tird of the old dogs doing all the water carrying & getting kicked to the curb for their efforts. NOT to mention FBI stats with VIOLENT CRIME GOING DOWN.

I don’t care about them in context of being trotted out to wring a few more ratings.

I am angry at the loss of the children in Newtown at the hands of a deranged lunatic with an ‘assault’ weapon! But what I fear more than a deranged lunatic with an ‘assault’ weapon, is a society void of defense weapons. Newtown would look like a walk in the park if the peaceful people of a free country are denied the ability to defend themselves from evil. And yes, an armed government with unarmed civilians is largely the evil I fear.

We wouldn’t even be having these discussions if we could get this country on a logic-based discussion vs. an emotion-based discussion.

THAT is the right’s biggest challenge.

Puss Morgan makes me want to puke. He is one of those jackasses who moves from a place decimated by progressives and then starts fighting to put in place the rotten policies that screwed up the last place.

Anyone remember when Prince Charles and Lady Camilla drove through a riot. Or maybe in England they think this is normal?

Morgan needs what we called a “Good Old Ass Whippin’” when I was younger.

Like Stirrin’ said – numbers and logic reveal the value in arming citizens, even without considering 2nd Amendment rights. I can find one emotional sob story for any side of any issue you can find – but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a thousand supporting the other view. That’s the case with gun ownership, and statistics (and Chicago!) prove it.

If I was Shapiro I’d break out the tears and the moaning that would increase to wailing, catch my breath and wipe my nose on Morgan’s lapel, look into the camera and with a tearful expression ask the viewers why on earth any school or institution, knowing what they now know about typical insane gunmen, would make a school completely defenseless and gun free when just one trained gun user could have made all the difference.

If that doesn’t cause parents to pause and think about it, then I don’t know what would. A gun is the only defensive tool one can use against an insane gunman or knive-weilding sicko. You can’t get close enough for bear spray and you may not be in a position to push the button for the anti-insane-murderer netting to drop from the ceiling.

I, too, do not care about the Newtown shootings. Anymore. The families need the time to adjust to their loss and I no longer want to hear idiots beating this awful drum by turning the rest of the country into criminals. Time to let it go!

When you can pull every single gun out of criminal’s hands then I’d give a thought to the Left’s argument (a thought) of gun control.
If Obama disarmed the Secret Service as a show of leadership, I might give control a thought.
If every police officer in the United States gave up their guns, I’d give it a thought.

    In other words, YOU FIRST!

    Until then, go f#ck yourself.
