Shyne Threatens Obama With “Kanye West Meltdown” Over Chicago Murders
Former Diddy protégé Shyne went on a Twitter tear against the president. The Belize-born rapper has been calling out President Obama for not doing more to curb the murder rate in the president’s hometown of Chicago.
“If @barackobama doesn’t do something about the genocide in Chicago fast,” he tweeted Monday (January 14), “I’m gonna have an @kanyewest melt down & say Barack Don’t care about?”
“#Yes u can! @barackobama you can do something to curb the violence in the inner cities across America, especially your hood in Chicago.”
His Twitter tirade began on Sunday when he asked President Obama to call in his celebrity friends for reinforcements.
“Dear @BarackObama, call Jay-Z to fly his private plane Down to Chicago & you fly yours the same way you called in the stars to win Ohio#help”
“@barackobama I forgot you weren’t an impoverished inner city kid! You grew up in Kansas & Hawaii! You only play the ghetto card come election time!”

I read this post and my first thought is, this is EXACTLY what is wrong with low-information voters. They actually BELIEVE that the President of the United States has some sort of power to do something about __________ (fill in the blank). This is exactly why Obama thinks he can act unilaterally to do whatever the hell he wants to do — because he has 51% of the American Public (including Belizian rappers) believing he has the power and authority to act whenever, wherever and however he wants.

In October 2008 on the Saturday Night Live news portion one of the cast came on the news to discuss the economic crisis. Fix it! He said. Just Fix It! He did that a couple of times leading up to the election. On the episode right after the election he came on again, and said ‘It’s fixed!’ Just because the right guy won the election, everything was going to be rosy. That is so often the view, and it’s why Obama got elected the first time and the second time – because he said he’d take care of the problems and people bought that load. I expect nothing more than that from this rapper, as soon as Obama announces his solutions – although there have been times when I’ve been surprised. how did the laws banning alcohol work out for the country in the 1920′s?
how are the laws banning drugs currently working out for everyone in the usa? (40% of prisoners in prison are there for banned drugs)
laws don’t stop criminals from commiting crimes, they only make his actions a crime.
only knowing God and his moral code can stop the criminal and even then it only works if the criminal has a conscience to start with.
