Biden Proposals Include Framework for Gun Registry and Confiscation

Gun Owners of America

– Up to 50-80% of all guns in circulation could be covered

Press reports now make it clear what Vice President Joe Biden’s gun control package will look like. Biden wants to impose:

* A Feinstein-like semi-auto ban which, according to experts who have done the counting, could ban up to 50% of all long guns currently in circulation and up to 80% of all handguns. Incidentally, if you wanted to keep the AR-15 you currently have, you would have to have a 6-month FBI background check, be fingerprinted, and get a machine gun-type license.

* The framework for national gun registration and confiscation by requiring every gun transaction to have a Brady Check.

* Supposed “toughening” of anti-gun trafficking measures, but without doing anything about the man responsible for allowing more gun trafficking than any other American — Attorney General Eric Holder (with his Fast and Furious program).

Let us backtrack and explain a couple of things: Increasingly ATF is going into gun dealers and xeroxing all of the 4473’s. This is illegal under McClure-Volkmer, but, in case you hadn’t noticed, Obama is increasingly ignoring the law when it inconveniences him.

Write or call your Senators and Representatives. Here is a simple form letter put out by Ruger that will do the job. It is up to each and every one of us to put a stop to this unconstitutional campaign by the progressive/left.

    Dear (Recipient),

I am a law-abiding citizen and responsible gun owner.

I am saddened by the tragic events in Newtown, Connecticut, but I believe that efforts to impose new restrictions on me and other lawful and responsible owners like me are misguided. Did you know that violent crime with firearms has declined since the Federal “assault weapons ban” expired in 2004?

Your focus should be on strengthening mental health care and improving the quality of data supporting NICS checks (National Instant Criminal Background Check System). Do NOT pass more gun laws; instead, work to enforce the more than 20,000 gun laws already on the books.

I am your constituent and I vote. Please represent me.

    Sincerely,
    (Your Contact Information)

Gun Owner:”Woah, there what’s the hurry there Joe with taking and restricting my rights? I haven’t done anything wrong with the guns I own.

Biden:”We have to get as many guns out of the hands of private citizens before Obamacare really takes hold. Cause that’s the big f@#&king deal. I sure don’t want you bunch of yahoos out there in the hinterlands opposing all the wonderful things instore for you once we fully implement that puppy. “

constitutionalists are being forced to ask themselves a couple of very troubling questions at this time:

    1) is the stae and federal governments going to be willing to incarcerate or kill me in order to force me to comply with the unconstitutional laws being passed by the elected politicians who swore an oath to defend the same constuitution they are now usurping?

    2) am i willing to fight to my death or be willing to kill said federal and state officials to retain or protect my constitutional rights which is the law of the land as well as the law creating the said oppressors government offices?

    3) do i really believe that there is any real elected opposition to the usurption of my rights now going on in regards to gun control, just as there was “real opposition” to the current health care law recently enacted and supported by the supreme court?

Mad Jack, Tyranny never listens to the people, thus the term. The GOP no longer represent their conservative constituents.
Dictatorships crush the people’s voice by any and all means.

the constitution is the contract made between the citizens and the government.

if the 2nd ammendment does not say what it says, then the rest of the constitution must not mean what it says, therefore the elected federal government has no validity!

I keep reading that these assholes want me to register my AR-15′s (and whatever else they deem to be a assault type weapon) the same way you currently have to register a suppressor or SBR (short barrel rifle) under the NFA (National Firearms Act). This requires a $200 fee for a tax stamp in order to legally own such items. Currently under the NFA rules if I purchase a suppressor or SBR I have to pay the FEDS $200 for EACH item purchased that falls under the NFA guidelines and get a tax stamp in order to be legal.

I would bet the farm if this BS gets passed all of us will have to pay a $200 fee/tax for each firearm that these douchebags claim fall under these new guidelines. I bring this up because I have not read anywhere about how this new system will be paid for and I am guessing we will find this out once the bill is passed or the executive order is signed…just a warning to gun owners. $200 bucks per firearm for me would be a nice chunk of change I would have to dish out if I follow there rules…to bad I lost all my firearms in a boating accident last week.

I’m too lazy to hunt, and I’ll just use a .40 or .45 for defense, but I don’t want to have to reload every 6 bullets if a tyrannical government is attacking, so limiting my magazine capacity is Hitlerian.

#2  Gun registration makes it easy for a tyrannical government to confiscate firearms so increasing regulations is Hitlerian.

It hasn’t happened in America, only in wussified Europe who we had to rescue with our blood bc of their liberal bent to Herr Fuhrer. And today, Piers Morgan brags about it:

Finding out which Jews had firearms was not too difficult. The liberal Weimar Republic passed a Firearm Law in 1928 requiring extensive police records on gun owners. Hitler signed a further gun control law in early 1938.

Other European countries also had laws requiring police records to be kept on persons who possessed firearms. When the Nazis took over Czechoslovakia and Poland in 1939, it was a simple matter to identify gun owners. Many of them disappeared in the middle of the night along with political opponents.

    “$200 fee/tax for each firearm”

“the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”

Wait a minute. Wouldn’t an arms-specific tax be as unconstitutional as the old poll taxes and for the same reason? Any tax on arms or ammo sounds like “infringement” to me. (Neither a gun nor a bullet constitutes an armament by itself. And a sales tax taxes the sale, not the product.)

OTOH, the second clause of the FIRST amendment is routinely ignored: “or prohibiting the free exercise thereof [of religion].”

    @boobie

    http://www.atf.gov/firearms/nfa/

Well, if I want a AR15 with a barrel shorter than 16″ I have to fill out additional paperwork and pay the feds 200 bucks. Its the dumbest rule, I can purchase a short barreled upper on-line and I do not have to get a background check and do not have to fill out the paper work or pay the 200 dollar fee, but if I attach the upper to a lower I am in violation of the NFA.

I can purchase a AR15 pistol which usually has a barrel that is 7.5″ in length and I do not have to register it under the NFA because it is considered a pistol…the only difference is a AR15 pistol has a different buffer tube and no stock can be attached to the buffer tube.

This shit is stupid and something should have been done about the NFA a long time ago. But, nothing will be done now thats for damn sure. The pistol you do not have to pay the 200 dollar fee for a tax stamp, the SBR you do.

    Here is a AR15 pistol and a SBR AR15

I am not at all shocked that the politicians want to place just about all firearms under NFA. We opened up the door for government to place any firearm under the National Firearms Act a long time ago. Then we the people never had it repealed, so any firearm can be placed under the NFA at anytime by these politicians because this infringement was allowed to happen to begin with.

Was that story that Obamacare prohibits the collection of gun registration data True?

@BILL – “why does obama need lifetime secret service protection if he is going to reduce gun violence with his new gun ban?”

AND if they ever want to confiscate guns, why would the police need guns? Everyone’s disarmed right? Police don’t need guns.
