Great White Photo Bombing
Sometimes a GoPro will capture something a little TOO extreme.
This was taken at Rockaway Beach, NY and the boys didn’t even realise till they took the camera home and had a look through their shots.

Real or Fake?

Based on just this single photo I’m thinking fake because of the odd change of darkness / shadow between the bottom of the frame where the shark is and the top where the surfers are.
Plus why does he have a go pro camera on the bottom of the surf board?

I think its real, and that shark would have died had I seen it. To much raw sewage in the water for it to survive. Damn those thing are mid evil. Cool, but mid evil.

Meh, I could be wrong. It just looks too much like old darkroom techniques I’ve used called “dodging” & “burning in” (way pre photoshop) where you could combine 2 different negatives on one piece of paper.

Meh. Sharks are near us in water all the time.
Just need to stay out of the water at dusk and at dawn. You might wanna find out when mating season is, too. Just sayin’. lol

hmmmm..couldn’t find shark or surfer on a reverse image search so KF may be correct about pre-photoshop manipulation and why is the camera under the board?

Fake. That’s a Great White. I grew up not too far from Rockaway Beach and there’s never been a Great White sighting. Not saying it’s impossible, but I highly doubt it.

The ghosting around the “shark” means this is a composite. Besides, the full photo has Hawai’i Department of Health on it.
