Here’s a program that’s sure to help American college students find much needed jobs after graduation. This semester, the University of Michigan is offering a course and lecture series called the Understanding Race Project.

Semester-long Exploration of Race Underway at University of Michigan

Already accustomed to the national spotlight over affirmative action and diversity, the University of Michigan is tackling the issue of race in a new project.

From this month through April, the Ann Arbor-based flagship university is undertaking a campus-wide initiative known as the Understanding Race Project that will showcase a wide-ranging selection of public exhibitions, lectures, performances, symposia and other events exploring the role of race in American society. In addition, more than 130 university courses are being offered in a number of disciplines that examine race and its social impact.

The project, which is also called the Understanding Race Theme Semester, is presented by the university’s College of Literature, Science and the Arts, which has organized university-wide theme semesters in the past.

“To be honest, it’s always time to talk about race,” says Amy Harris, a co-chair of the project and director of the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History. “The Understanding Race Project is as broad and varied as the cultural and ethnic groups that constitute and sometimes divide the human family here and around the globe.”

Conservatives are racist because they don’t care about race….like Martin Luther King Jr. Fuck that Republican house nigger.

Those of us obsessed with race are not racist. We have progressed beyond color-blindness and character.

and to think its 2013, The Left who don’t want people to be judged by the color of their skin are still using color of the skin.

Maybe these people infatuated with “Race”, or “Cultures” will have some figures on the “Role of Race” when it comes to crime.

Here is the only racism course you need in one blog comment:

    1. Liberals like Chris Matthews are fueling racism by claiming that anyone who disagrees with them are racists. (Except blacks who disagree with liberals – they are Uncle Toms and race traitors.)

    2. Race baiters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson encourage racism in order to profit from it.

    3. Conservatives, most of whom selfishly want blacks to be productive and succeed so that they and society can benefit, eventually get inured to charges of racism and end up not caring.

    4. Slavery in this country ended about 150 years ago. The Civil Rights Act was passed 50 years ago (everyone now – “thank you, Republicans”). It’s time to forget what happened to your great, great grandfather and his ancestors, and get over it and move on.

    5. For many, many reasons, people need to think and do, and think and do for themselves. It’s time to recognize who truly supports racism (hint: they elected the current President), and who doesn’t.

Please send your tuition money to Wyatt.

“understanding race” – sounds like stereotyping people by race doesn’t it?

i thought stereotyping people because of race was wrong, isn’t it?

I have deal for the libs, they promise to never establish any more groups that in any way mention race or gender. No Black Cultural Society, No Women’s Engineering Society, No Transgender Dwarf Circus performers , well you get the idea. And in exchange I won’t form a White guys only group of anything. I am sick of being labeled racist for even thinking of having a white male only group, and yet they claim they aren’t with the hairbrained ones they come up with.
let’s try a world where a group is defined by something we CHOOSE to have in common. I.E. prfession or interest and not mention race , gender or sexual orienation.

“To be honest, it’s always time to talk about race,” says Amy Harris, a co-chair of the project and director of the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History…

“…because being a liberal like me means you have race on your mind all the time. The conservatives don’t really bother thinking or talking about race.”

“But what would you call a conservative that thinks and talks about race all the time?”

    “A racist.”
