I’ll add one thing to what Ventura said about guns are for “the people to defend themselves against the government”, and he is absolutely correct! It was also put in place so that the government would fear the people, not the other way around. We have largely lost that battle, and I fear the government, they don’t fear me…but I’ll be damed if they think I am gonna dig my own grave!

History Lesson-
This is the Ventura as I remember running for Governor of Minnesota. He was nothing more than a sports station radio announcer and quite successful (became announcer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
He ran for office on a lark…and won because people were sick of the usual crap (nobody gave him a chance of winning!) He himself may have been more surprised than anyone.
In the aftermath, he became the nut case he is today (not that he was completely sane before) He couldn’t take the media criticism (called them Jackals)
He moved to Mexico and comes back at times and is what he is.
Now we have as governor, Mark Dayton, a descendant of the family that founded Target Corp. He’s afraid of his own shadow, looks like a deer in headlights…look up his record as a US senator. He closed his and office hightailed it out of DC thinking the terrorists were after him.
