Very funny because it is very true! I could NEVER stay focused whenever attending one of these boooooring meetings anyway. But using powerpoint presentations made it even worse!! He has captured the uselessness of powerpoint presentations to a tee. This also holds true whenever reading an article that includes charts and graphs of this nature. It just muddles up the whole thing.

Hehe, that was great. My very next PowerPoint is going to have every one of those no-nos. I’ll time how long it takes to drive everyone crazy.

Whatever you do – DO NOT USE ‘WORD ART’! That is so 90′s….
A few years ago I created a presentation where I used animation to show our proposed product falling from above and crushing the competition. I even included splattering blood and a “spurt” sound effect.
My coworkers thought it was hilarious.
The VP? – not so much….

I have worked in the insurance/finance industry for practically 15 years. I must have seen that type of presentation a few hundred times.
When I held a meeting to update some senior managers on the status of a project, I passed out a few pages of charts and memorized my speech. I answered every question without pulling an obama: “Um, uh, um, uh.” My boss was upset because I didn’t use PowerPoint. Never found out how the senior managers felt.
