Mother of two surprises intruder with five gunshots

The Loganville mother of two assumed the knocks on her front door Friday afternoon were from a solicitor.
“Don’t answer,” she yelled to her 9-year-old twins playing downstairs.
When the visitor began repeatedly ringing the doorbell, she called her husband at work.
“Get the kids and hide,” he told his wife.
As he dialed 911, his 37-year-old spouse, who works from home, collected the children and hid with them in a crawlspace adjoining her office. By that time, the intruder had forced his way into the three-story residence on Henderson Ridge Drive with a crowbar, authorities said. He allegedly rummaged through the home, eventually working his way up to the attic office.

I will have to forward this to my former Governor, John Rowland, who now has a talk show from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on WTIC in Hartford, CT.
He is usually a pretty conservative guy but of late has been questioning why anyone would need a 30 round magazine. Other than his apparent lack of understanding of why the 2ND Amendment was put in place, this should illustrate why. Luckily the perpetrator was stopped, but just barely.

Since the intruders don’t seem to ever obey any laws, we should make more laws, new and improved laws, with extra harsh wording that will scare them into obedience. That will stop criminal violence and then we can all live happily ever after in the new socialist utopia that the progs have so generously designed for us.
Great story. I’ll bet they upgrade to a caliber with more stopping power so the next one won’t have them worrying about the guy ever getting paroled.

The first thing I built was a safe room, when I bought my first house. And each house there after.
There is food,ammo water,ammo, phone,ammo, guns, ammo, gas masks, ammo. Fire suppression and video cameras outside the house and inside.
It was made to withstand a tornado. And or a terrorist. It’s a vault.
I agree, carry a large caliber gun.

What pisses me off is that the thug is now recovering comfortably in a warm prison hospital bed, where he’ll be fed and taken care of at our expense until he gets released early someday.
