A CHILD REACHES FROM THE WOMB TO TAKE HER DOCTOR’S HAND

A remarkable photograph of a baby reaching out from the womb to grip the finger of the doctor working to deliver her by C-section has drawn a huge amount of attention on the Internet:

The baby is named Nevaeh (it’s “Heaven” spelled backward) and her mother, Alicia Atkins, is a professional photographer.  She didn’t take this particular photo, since she was rather preoccupied at the time, so the shutterbug duties fell to her husband Randy.

A report at Life News notes that such events are not unknown to hospital staff, but it’s very rare for such a perfect photograph of a baby reaching out from the womb to be captured.  The Atkins’ are reportedly surprised at the popularity of the photo, which Mary Elizabeth Williams at Salon clocks at “over 5,000 likes and close to 3,000 shares” on Facebook as of Thursday.

While Mrs. Atkins professers herself gratified by the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the picture, Williams was somewhat under-whelmed.

The children who survived infanticide of the 70s and 80s, now have children who are having ultrasound parties. It’s trendy to finally acknowledge there really is a baby in the womb.
    There’s hope.

The fact that the baby was white increased its chances of survival from Obama’s and PP tools of destruction.

They all reach out. Yet, this world ignores a helping hand. Shame on us.

Okay, she’s right–it’s an instinct for babies to grasp, but the impact of that first connection is no less powerful because of it. That baby is reaching out and trusting that there’s someone there to love and nurture her and keep holding her hand until she’s ready to let go.

It’s the year 2012 and that baby is pulling on the Doctor’s hand and thinking, “Get in here, where you’ll be safe.”

That doctor will lose his license to practice medicine, be kicked out of the AMA, get slapped with a lawsuit by dozens of faux-outrage LibTard groups, and get investigated by DHS Fuhrer Janet “Strapon” Napolitano.

Why? Because he made a “gun” sign with his hand. That born fetus, er baby, will be traumatized for the rest of her life and become a poster child for gun control.

I thought I had seen this one before, but perhaps it was this one:

Remember, kids, it is just a non-viable mass of tissue…

Thank you, Billy. I was wondering about that. I was sure I saw something like this before and you are right – it was the one you posted.

Mary Elizabeth Williams at Salon seems to go out of her way to say she isn’t knocking the powerful emotional reaction to a tiny baby hand reaching out to grasp but then she does it anyway. She sounds like someone who would burst someone’s balloon just to see them cry.

The link @Billy references shows the fully developed & functioning hand of a 21 week baby. I refuse to use the term “fetus”. How many babies at that age have been murdered because they were thought to be nothing but blobs of tissue. The more these types of photos are published the more JQ Public is going to realize that a woman is not carrying a “blob of tissue” but an actual living human being.

How can that lizard not see the picture and say, “Awww” no matter WHAT she “believes”? That’s just odd.
