All I can say is that I hope it hasn’t been over a billion years since planet earth has been pelted with asteroids. I don’t want to be here when that happens. It didn’t work out too good for the dinosaurs.

Interesting, but I still firmly believe the book of Genesis. “In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth” one the first day.

As fascinating as this was to watch, I can’t help but think just how easy it is to buy into the whole ‘billions and billions’ of years theory regarding the heavens and the earth when technology can so blithely put forth as fact how the moon came into being.

Sorry Claudia, but I have to agree with John Stossel by quoting his phrase “give me a break”. Especially when it comes to deception such as this wrapped in eye candy.

Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the fourth day. – Genesis 1:16-19

(But) false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. – Mark 13:22

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. – 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10

I believe in the biblical account of creation. Don’t care how God did it, He is totally awesome in His creation. Praise Him in the firmament of His power.

So they say this is how the craters on the Moon came about huh. Billions of years ? No. All speculation by people who believe in Nothing.

How in the world is this video, in any way, contrary to the belief that God made all of this?

I believe in both creationism and evolution, I just differ on the origination of life. God created life, not some lightning strike in some carbon rich swamp of ooze.

Did ya ever notice that Genesis doesn’t once mention “how?” I see no incompatibility here. Just as God made the Universe, and everything in it, he also made the laws to govern it – Physics.

He also made the language for us to understand it – Mathematics.

He also gave us the ability to understand.

    Exactly right, Tim.

I think the Bible is much more sophisticated than simply ending all contemplation at 1st grade level.

The more one learns and explores the incredible intricacies that reveal themselves to be non-chaos, but orchestrated, the closer to God we get.

And yet, after millennia of “evolution”, the Moon is still a satellite; funny how it’s never evolved into a galaxy or a star–or even a planet.

I’d just like to know what kind of batteries they used in the camera that lasted for 4.5 billion years… Or was it a manually-operated hand crank number like they had when Moe Tom was a young adult? Can you imagine how tired the guys arm must be by now after winding non-stop for all those years?

@ Tim: Did ya ever notice that Genesis doesn’t once mention “how?”

You are right. It doesn’t once mention “how”. It mentions it multiple times in the first chapter alone. All that we know to exist, including the moon, were spoken into existence by God. Consider the following:

Day One: Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.- Genesis 1:3 and 5

Day Two: Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” Genesis 1:6 and 8

Day Three: Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. – Genesis 1:9, 11, 13

Day Four: Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. – Genesis 1:14, 15 and 19

Day Five: Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” – Genesis 1:20 and 23

Day Six: Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. – Genesis 1:24, 26,31

Science tells us that we can only use about 10 or 15 percent of our brain power. Anybody who foolishly decides to use that little bit to go up against Almighty God by questioning his creations or existence should be labeled an idiot and made to wear a dunce cap when out in public so the children will know to stay away from them.

The Bible tells us Who, science attempts to tell us why. I like to silence angry anti-theists by pointing out that the big bang theory was proposed by a Roman Catholic priest. Usually ends the “conversation” quick-like.
