Stockholm Syndome:
Wow, KF, that’s a powerful article. That has explained a lot of what’s happened to this world in the last 50 years or so.

I just called my congressmans office and followed up with this e-mail:
Congressman Jones,
Thank You for standing up to “speaker” Boehner and voting NO on the tax increase and spending Increase bill last night. I also want to encourage you to remove Boehner as speaker. Our country needs leadership at this time of crisis, and leaders don’t kick cans down the road for his grandchildren to pick up later. Please continue to hold to your principles and do what is right for America. The next fight, the Debt Ceiling, is going to be very ugly and Obama is giving every indication that he intends to side-step Congress and raise the ceiling unilaterally by executive order and we need a leader that will draw a line and stand there and not let the executive branch trample the Constitution and the legislative branch. Please stand firm!
Thank You.

A “woo hoo” shout-out to Tom Price!
He’s my Rep. and has been pretty solid. Even when I have disagreed with him, he’s been open to hearing my opinion.
He holds periodic “telephone town-hall” meetings and will take questions, hear criticisms, etc., from all that participate.
There are rumors that he is going to primary Saxby Chambliss.

@Intel Destroys Cable –
This myth has been around for a long time. I remember 25 years ago people were complaining about getting channels they didn’t watch. I asked them to ballpark how many channels they normally watch. The average was about 15-20. Even 25 years ago when we only had around 50 channels it was 15-20 that were watched on a standard basis. I then asked what was their normal cable bill. I told them that that was the bundle price for all the channels and it covered maintenance costs and salaries as well. I then had them divide their 15 or 20 channels by their standard bill — that was going to be the cost of one channel.
They went away mumbling and grumbling about profit and being ripped off by capitalism and such but the logic was clear. The TV provider needs a specific amount of money to operate. They’re going to charge what will give them that amount and a profit for continued investment and innovation.
Because if they don’t get the money they need, you don’t get the product you want.

LOL I know, that’s how I came across G.O.A.T. I wasn’t looking for G.G Allin either but ended up there from watching a video totally unrelated. You know how that goes on YouTube. Allin was into shit, blood and violence. This G.O.A.T. guy just seems to jiggle his junk while singing (badly) songs with dirty lyrics. The other appealing thing about this video is the location and the audience. It’s really a charming video for the mentally disturbed, and the rest of us.
