According to Daily Mail, Shanine originally made her first zombie doll for a friend who participates in the annual “Zombie Walk” in Vancouver and then posted another on eBay “just to see what would happen.”
The high price typically posted for a plastic zombie-baby may seem high to many, but the process and materials Shanine requires to construct the little monstrosities is actually quite costly, as each doll requires nearly 30 layers of paint.

I tried to sell some zombie babies in Sacramento, but since they need to eat brains to survive, they starved and wasted away. I’ll probably have the same bad fortune in Washington D.C. as well.
