In no way am I here to downplay the tragedy at Newtown, but if we are going to compare knowledge and cherry pick time frames, at least put the information in context:

the Second Amendment was proposed by the first Congress on June 8, 1789 and adopted on December 15, 1791, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights. AFTER all those killings??
