Martin W. Schwartz: I don’t know if there are any legal remedies, but Journal employee, Dwight Worley lives in Springfield Gardens (Queens). Twitter is talking about how he allegedly, owns a licensed .357 and @janhasson magically left his “dot” off the map. If this information is verified, then clearly this FIOA obtained data was used in a wrongful or inappropriate manner to attack gun owners the Journal presumes to have the “wrong politics”. And there may be statuatory torts attached to the misuse of FIOA obtained information. You’d have to look into it…
So how does Journal – News reporter Dwight R. Worley rate a NYC pistol permit?
According to an Editor’s Note accompanying this reporter’s article revealing the home addresses of all licensed pistol owners, “Journal News reporter Dwight R. Worley owns a Smith & Wesson 686 .357 Magnum and has had a residence permit in New York City for that weapon since February 2011.”

UPDATE: I have no idea what the value of this type of information would be, but at this link are pictures of the home of the editor, Jan Hasson, who published the names and addresses of all gun permit holders. Impressive. There’s a lot of nice stuff in that 1 percenter’s house. I wonder if she owns a gun?

If I get rained out again tommorrow, I’m gonna look up their voting record, political donation record and everything else that the internets lets me see…and If I had the money, I would look up their criminal records, e-mail adresses, siblings, previous addresses, IP providers and post the pics of their houses from google maps and google earth….and liscense tags, and tax info, and house values, and….

All the people listed in my neighborhood are active or retired police, Sheriff,Attorneys, and businessmen. No reason for them to appear in this rag of a paper. I hate to see people lose their jobs but I hope advertising comes to a halt at The Journal News and it just fades away.

The one thing you can always count on with today’s “journalists” is they always ALWAYS go too far. They’re like a meth addict that way. At first, the “cause” just feels so good, so right, so fabulous. So they keep pushing and pushing, chasing the story like they’re chasing the high. Then they loose control.
They’ve pushed this gun thing too far. And pretty soon the blowback is going to be enormous.

In my opinion the value of this info shows an amazing amount of hypocrisy, even if his name is on the list. If his name was scrubbed from the list that would be quite the double standard and cover up. Of course non of this would have any impact unless you had a media that would run with it and expose them. It’s really very elitist. Fuckers.

The same thing happened in Roanoke, VA.
The guy that did it lived in Christiansburg, VA.
I happened to be in his neighborhood a week later on business and took some pics of his house (that needed a new roof) and emailed them to him.
The behavior ceased.

I live in Putnam County, contiguously north of Westchester, and in LoHud zone. (They call it the Urinal News there.)
I have a full carry NYS handgun permit issued by the county (for my .38 S&W and Glock) and I am sure these bastards will post my info soon. So I will call all of them on Sunday afternoon during the games, just to let them know how I feel.
Never let up.
And when I return east from LA I will order my AR and trick it out with a Trijicon scope and a Barska laser sight. My address will show that I live in the woods…with a landlord who is armed, well armed. And kids who live on the property who are also well armed and everyone can shoot.

That’s cute and all, but it’s not good enough. What is “good enough”? “Good enough” is when they publicly BEG you to stop releasing LEGAL information about THEIR families, parents, children, etc. We have to make this episode so painful to these “journalists”, that the next ones will think long and hard before trying to intimidate law-abiding citizens. I’ve NEVER advocated bringing a persons family into a dispute before, but the Journal News started it when they published information about gun-owners families. The Journal News literally published information about HUNDREDS of families. Honestly, I’d like to see pictures of their friends and family, INCLUDING minors. Make them wish they had never done this. I think it’s the best way to prevent this sort of thing from happening again.

Hey, Money talks. Pick up a copy of the Journal News and take a look at the major advertisers. Let’s all give them a call and ask them if they would like to have all of the gun owners and sportsman in Westchester and Putnam boycott them. Put some pressure on the advertisers and they will begin walking away from the Journal News.

Print journalism is a dying industry anyway.
Why not help it off the cliff? No newspaper survives without advertisers. A map of advertisers makes for a ready boycott list, as several people have mentioned.
I think a pretty loud message should be sent to liberals: trying to shame the people with the firearms and the training to use them is a very, very bad idea.

This asshole got his carry permit for NYC because he knows someone in the high office, not how much you know it’s who’s is ass you like to kiss, i am a former pistol, rifle, and shotgun instructor and also taught NYS hunter safety program, if one of my students even made some stupid remark about gun safety or hunting i would fail them man or women, i once kicked two NYC police officers off the pistol range for acting like two idiots.
