Many years ago I think it was PBS that did something similar called “The Wolf in your livingroom”.

I have to get a copy of this to my non-interwebbed neighbors. They have a black German Shepherd that’s 125 lbs and half Red Wolf. Pity the fool who breaks into that house.
@Pearl Clutcher
Put a period after the link. Some say an [enter] and a period, but either way works for me.

This is excellent, thank you.

My brother had a dog that was 3/4 german shepherd, and 1/4 wolf. The idea is the wolf genes are supposed to reduce hip dysplasia.
His temperment was typical shepherd and we could not identify any wolf characteristic except one:
When he became upset the hair on his back would stand straight up from is nose to to the tip of his tail. Chilling…
Otherwise, he was a joy to have around. He lived to the ripe age of 14, with hip dysplasia not showing up until his last two years.

There is so much in this presentation that I simply do not believe. So much speculation presented as fact.

Excluding fellow humans, there is no such animal in the world to relate to that is as good as a faithful dog. There is no other animal in the world that reads, understands and empathizes with humans better than a dog who loves you with all their heart.

@Conservative Cowgirl – I know what you mean. I’ve got a Great Dane and a German Shorthair waiting up in Heaven for me. Miss those guys and was just thinking about them earlier this morning. So happy I still have my current pup – though he is getting up in years.
Love dogs AND wolves!!
