Cakes, if you have an old service to your house that has been exposed to a lot of weather, the insulation can break down and moisture will caus havoc with any phoneline dial-up/DSL. I have found cases where the service drop from an overhead pole that had been hanging out in the weather was the root of all the problems on a data transfer problem.

If it is only isolated to specific rooms and not the entire system in the house, then you need to look at house wiring. Rodents can cause problems along the same lines.

Keep me posted, maybe we can get this resolved.

Doc-(OT)nothing old here- I built the house 4 years ago. Maybe it is faulty wiring @installation? No rodent issue,either. I do want to sell and downsize, but not likely in this economy. Anybody here want to live in a really gorgeous, quiet lakeside neighborhood in GA? Top of the line home at a great deal. Nice for horses,too. Possible downside- I would be your neighbor, I want to build on the lot next door.
