Ah for the good old days when two men could live together, with one of them (Felix) displaying a flamboyant lifestyle, and not be suspected of being anything more than platonic room mates!

Nice cameo by Teri Garr in the last one, selling flight insurance.

Jack was the best. His Oscar Madison formed the very basis of our earliest comedy influences here at iOTW. He was also a masterful dramatic actor.
To anyone reading this I’d highly recommend the Odd Couple on DVD for one of the funniest television shows ever. Particularly beginning in season 2 when Klugman and Randall insisted on dumping the laugh track and doing the show in front of a live audience.
Sad to see him go.

I really liked Klugman in Quincy.
Never could watch the odd couple, couldn’t stand tony randall’s character. neurotic, self absorbed, whiny and pompous. The prototype for all the modern day metrosexuals out there.
I know that was how they cast him, but I couldn’t take it, even watching the clips reminded me why I never watched the show.

Oscar on the other hand, was a man’s man, smoked cigars (which randall constantly complained about ) drank beer, and liked the little things in life,,,like women, and he knew how to get them!!!
The only women randall could get were dominating feminists (probably because they intuitively knew he was a wimp)

And then there were none.
Incidentally, Jack was the last surviving Angry Man.

Didn’t realize that, Mr. Hat.
Somehow makes me sad.

Was sad to hear this news – but happy that he lived to the good old age of 90. I have many happy memories of us as a family watching “The Odd Couple” when I was a kid. It was one of my dad’s favorites.
