If this is true, I totally understand why he didn’t have the fire in his belly to DESTROY Obama like he should have. There was certainly enough amo from Obama himself to destroy the prick.

For his sin, he should fund every Tea Party candidate for the next 12 years (or more).

Perhaps if he had stepped out of the way and allowed a conservative to gain the nomination, we would be eagerly awaiting the inauguration of President-Elect Santorum.

Oh, well, the establishment stood in the way of the conservative in 1976, only to have that same conservative win in a landslide in 1980.

Yeah, and after Nixon lost to Kennedy in 1960 he told the Press “You won’t have Nixon to kick around anymore because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference”.

Romney wanted to be Prez enough that he fought a very hard war for the nomination. If he had wanted to be out he could have easily picked one of the other candidates for the nomination and sought to help that person out by destroying the rest of the field.

No, I take this as a disingenious gesture to try to rebrand Romeny as a desent, humble kinda guy who only sought to serve his country in a time of need. Watch the field for 2016 to see if he’s going to stay in the back ground or make another run at it.

If Romney really didn’t want to be President (and he did very badly) then he should’t have destroyed Santorum and Gingrich–both of whom were doing fantastic until Mitt stepped in and went on to destroy them in ads. Both Santorum and Gingrich would have been wonderful and protective of the United States and our Constitution.

I was not a fan of Mitt’s, but when he got the nomination, I got on board and supported him 100%. Now, with this story, he’s dropped again in my estimation. This makes him and his family look weak–very unlike Sarah and her family who never apologize for who they are and what they stand for and have never come back and said Sarah didn’t really want the Vice-Presidency.
