According to the 2nd Amendment, we need guns because the government needs guns.

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

A government that doesn’t respect your right to protect yourself doesn’t respect your rights, period.

Total control of the people is not possible if the People have the ability to fight back.

So whole neighorhoods are being over run and looted and these f*@ing reports are concern if the people guarding this one particular store have the right permits to carry the hunting rifles and shot guns they are holding?

Why doesn’t the intrepid report go to the stores being looted and ask the theives if they have the right permits?

The conservative need to recruit Corey Booker over to our side. He’s much to smart to be a lib. I like this guy.

    Uh. First poster…

All of the Bill of Rights amendments are restrictions on the Govt. and protecting individual rights. Not any granting of rights. Please adjust your understanding accordingly.

Just try to make sense of any of the others by making them out to be about Govt. rights.

I was up there at a Lakers game when the LA riots started. Listening to the idiot female anchor in the clip above, I can assure her:

This was necessary. There were thousands of people roaming the streets with a violent mob mentality, and there was nothing the police could do except try to contain the riots.

The guns were legal. There is no registration requirement in California for long guns, and to buy a handgun one needs a Handgun Safety Certificate.

The police and National Guard were not concerned at all about these Koreans. These people were protecting their property, and there were a lot of looters and rioters the police were very concerned about. These Koreans just made their job easier.

Pearl Clutcher, Where is it any different? Where is it improving? With the economy in the tank I would think crime is just going to continue to get worse. Maybe it’s the Governor of that states fault. I like the guy because he has the courage to say something other then the party line, and that’s refreshing. Having said that, he’s still a politician and not to be trusted.

Brad Brad, I respect your points and even agree with some. However when Booker does make rational statements, he turns around and takes them back to pacify the liberals, so he negates any respect I could have for him. I venture to say that the employment, crime rate, etc of Newark NJ has been shit for the past 30 years even in a good economy.

“when Booker does make rational statements, he turns around and takes them back to pacify the liberal”

True, but this is twice now he’s bitch slapped the media and the administration in the face. Let’s see how they punish him this time. Maybe just a little ember smoldering of common sense. Hell, he did a better job trying to defend our gun rights then the NRA or any Republican I’ve heard. I understand your points to and you are correct. I guess I’m encouraged that he seems to put party behind him occasionally.

Let me help you with that.

    “Why we need guns.
The gov’t enjoys taking from the useful and productive to give to the useless and lazy.”

The purpose of the 2nd is so we can thwart tyranny. We shouldn’t be suffering criminals walking our streets (and infesting our elected offices) in the first place.

I think this video spoke for itself. The owner, and friends of the owner, showed the potential looters what they would be going up against if they chose to hit that store.

As best that I could see, the looters chose to avoid that store. Hmmm, I wonder why.

Don’t know if it was select fire but there is a tax and permit for short barrel rifles.

I shot a semi auto back in the 80′s, and I swear to you, It was a shitty little sheet metal weapon. Maybe the real deal was better constructed, but a buddy of mine picked this thing up from a Big 5 sporting good store as I remember and it sucked.
