    How stupid were these women? They whine and cry for a ban on “assault weapons,” but then mention two heavily armed countries as examples of….something – Israel and Switzerland. Israel is a small nation with a lot of enemies at its borders – military training is compulsory and probably most of its population has military assault rifles.

    Switzerland is, like Israel, a small country, but without the rabid hordes of enemies at its borders. Like Israel, the Swiss have compulsory military service, and Swiss citizens actually keep their military assault rifles at home. Switzerland is also a notorious gun crazy country, and private shooting is a popular sport.

    I find it hilarious that the bimbos on the panel actually mentioned Israel and Switzerland in the same breath as crying about “assault weapons,” and Penn Jilette showed a lot of restraint in not throwing this in their faces.

    But it’s OK to kill children with abortion tools and machetes?

    I recall a teacher in Rwanda who hacked up 18 of her charges with a machete for what she described as mercy killings.

    Their parents had been killed in the late chaos and she was afraid they’d starve.

    Don’t recall if she got a Schweitzer award.

    Watching Teller inject logical and clear thinking into the media mayhem over the Newtown tragedy was a wonderful Christmas gift.

    He not only countered their easy one law solution (ban semi-automatics, mental health czars, its Call of Dutieis fault, Ausbergers are violent) and turned them against them by calling on everyone to stop obsessing over an anomally and focus on ways to protect children from what kills more of them in this nation, swimming pools and not wearing seat belts.

    I realize Teller probably doesn’t do Christmas gifts but he certainly delivered here.

    Doc, the “news” can’t get anything right in their rush to report. Apparently the Bushmaster was taken into the school and used, but a shotgun was left in the car. To non-gun owners, all long guns are the same so it makes no difference.

    Watching a segment on Fox news this afternoon I concluded that if you’re not already informed going INTO a news cycle, you’ll be more stupid at the end of it. Even the presenters have absolutely no idea what’s being discussed.

    Ban semi-automatic weapons because they can be turned into machine guns and no one needs a machine gun.

    Excuse me, Miss Bimbette. Can you guarantee me that if you ban semi-automatic rifles today, that my handgun will not be banned tomorrow? Wanna bet not? Wanna bet your life savings on it? How about your life?

    And Miss Bimbette, if you say that you can guarantee that my handgun will not be banned tomorrow, what would you have said to a semi-automatic rifle owner when he asked that question 30 years ago?

    I wonder more and more if any of these assclowns who seem to believe that inanimate objects can always magically transform allegedly rational, normal humans into blood crazed killers ever think about the fact that there are over 80 MILLION of us gunowners and the number grows daily. If by their argument we all are instantly transformed into murderous psychopaths, why are there any people left in the country who aren’t gun owners?
