In the December 19th edition of TIME Magazine, Andrew Breitbart was honored in the publication’s “Tribute to Those We Lost” for 2012. Andrew was a warrior, a new media pioneer, and a loving husband and father. He is terribly missed by all those here at Breitbart News.

The full text of TIME’s tribute can be read below:

Maybe the most telling thing about the news that conservative blog impresario Andrew Breitbart had died was that many people didn’t believe it, even though it was reported on his website. Whatever you think of his politics or journalism, his death is sad. Breitbart died suddenly of apparent natural causes on March 1 at 43, leaving behind a wife and four children. He also leaves behind a network of high-traffic, highly partisan websites and an image as one of journalism’s and politics’ most abrasive and zealous fighters and critics of Big Media, willing to use his sites to support political ends — sometimes with explosive, widely publicized stories that relied on manipulation and strategic editing.

In a way, the people critiquing Breitbart are paying a kind of tribute. Breitbart came out of the American political tradition in which if you cared about things, you fought about them. Part of his legacy is a rise in the power of partisan journalism. But if another part of his legacy — exemplified by the first reaction to his death — is a rise in skepticism and critical reading of the media, that’s not entirely a bad thing.

WTF, There is no December 19th edition of Time. There’s a December 17th and a December 24th, but no Decemmber 19th. I just checked (for some reason they have been sending me free copies for years now and for once I had a use for them).

BTW: Here’s a working link to Big J, yours isn’t working.

“… stories that relied on manipulation and strategic editing.”? So TIME is sneering that Breitbart allegedly used techniques that long have been the mainstay of the MSM? What? Are they jealous?

If it’s been months and you also haven’t asked him about that…allow me…he’s either living with somebody else or he doesn’t would love you
calling his house in the event he’s got another woman over. Making its formal introduction inside Fox network on April 6 of the identical year, the series adopted shows including the Simpsons and American Father Episodes. “The Simpsons” creators appear to have forgotten the aim of the genre they began over 20 years ago: to complete regardless of the hell they want.
