Michael Douglas’ son attacked in prison, leg broken over drug-dealer snitching
Cameron Douglas, son of legendary Hollywood actor Michael Douglas, was recently attacked in prison by fellow inmates, suffering a broken leg and fingers. Douglas was targeted for violence after a mob boss put a bounty on the Oscar winner’s son for “ratting” on his drug dealers.
“He broke his femur, which is hard to snap, and had to have a rod inserted,” a source told the New York Post.
Douglas did not make the mistake of “ratting” a second time.
“He told health services staff that he hurt them playing handball. You don’t break a femur playing handball,” the source said.
Douglas, 34, was sentenced to five years in prison in 2010 for heroin possession and for running a coke and meth-dealing operation out of a New York City hotel room. Last December, Douglas’ sentence was extended another four and a half years when he was caught smuggling heroin into his Pennsylvania prison.

My younger days were with the actors of the highest caliber–Kirk Douglas being one, who I would imagine is still proud of his son Michael. A disgrace to the family is what Cameron is. That’s nothing new, we’ve all heard our fair share of stories of the “rich kid who rebels.” Drugs mean easy money and both rich and poor are tempted. Still, it’s a shame what with Cameron opportunities (esp. with the money and influence on Dad’s part) to carry on the family’s traditions. Even if they didn’t “get along” (that being an assumption on my part), it’s no excuse, for NO father wants to see his children suffer. I hope he learns from this, comes out, and does his parents right. Many have done just that.

I always look forward to sermons and films about how I should feel, think, live from people whose personal lives are such a living help that their progeny are all screwed up. I’m of course I wouldn’t be referring to any of that glorious Hollywood like Cher, the Beatty’s, and the Douglas’.
