FLASHBACK: Michael Moore’s bodyguard was arrested for carrying an unlicensed weapon

Filmmaker Michael Moore’s bodyguard was arrested for carrying an unlicensed weapon in New York’s JFK airport Wednesday night. (January 19th 2005)
Police took Patrick Burke, who says Moore employs him, into custody after he declared he was carrying a firearm at a ticket counter. Burke is licensed to carry a firearm in Florida and California, but not in New York. Burke was taken to Queens central booking and could potentially be charged with a felony for the incident.
Moore’s 2003 Oscar-winning film “Bowling for Columbine” criticizes what Moore calls America’s “culture of fear” and its obsession with guns.

It looks like he finally “sploded” in this picture.
Sigh. Wishful thinking, I know.

Why does Moore need a bodyguard? And with all that flab, he doesn’t even need a Kevlar vest. He could easily take 5 rounds and never feel a thing.

If I was an important government official, or wealthy enough, I could afford to hire a couple of duly licensed armed body guards. I would live in a gated community, patrolled by private security guards, and I would have state of the art security systems which would include virtually immediate response times by private security. I would put my kids into a secure private school.
Under those circumstances, I probably wouldn’t need to own a weapon myself – unless I just liked to shoot. But that’s not me, and that’s not the 99% of Americans who are ostensibly sacred to liberals.

What a gargantuan fluking hypocrite!
He should insist that his bodyguards carry nothing more deadly than spoons.
Hey Porky – whadda ya say we make hypocrisy a capital offense?

Shit. Never tempt God. I swore I could never like anything about NY’s gun laws or see anything good about them and here I am hoping they ream him a good one.
OK, God. I get it. You can make anything happen. I know nothing. Thanks for the day brightener.

In cases like these, Sonoma, headshots become the more viable option.
