I would never be so insulting as to accuse the NY Times of tokenism

Legal Insurrection

The New York Times today ran a demeaning Op-Ed about Tim Scott, the Republican Congressman from South Carolina who was just appointed to the seat being vacated by Jim DeMint.

The Op-Ed was written by U. Penn. Political Science Professor Adolf L. Reed Jr.,  The Puzzle of Black Republicans, and accused Republicans of engaging in tokenism by appointing Scott:

But this “first black” rhetoric tends to interpret African-American political successes — including that of President Obama — as part of a morality play that dramatizes “how far we have come.” It obscures the fact that modern black Republicans have been more tokens than signs of progress….

No number of Tim Scotts — or other cynical tokens — will change that.

In response to my post about the Op-Ed, SoccerDad suggested a look at The NY Times Masthead and Editorial Board.  Here’s that look:   more

It obscures the fact that modern black Republicans have been more tokens than signs of progress.

Remember Adolf, they’re working within a massively socialist-influenced gov’t, educational, and media framework that tells blacks the only friends they have are the democrats that give them money for their votes.

The Republican blacks are true to the history of their race. They reflect the values of great black Republicans such as Frederick Douglass and Martin Luther King. They know that the plight of current day blacks began, not with the democrat-created slave plantations in the 1700s, or not with the democrat-created KKK in 1865, but with the democrat-created Great Society of 1965 that told the blacks they would be given money for nothing turning them into democrat slaves once more.

So when intelligent blacks like Republican Senator Scott (I’ll bet it galls you to hear that!) step off of your democrat plantation, you go into typical full democrat racist mode and attack them for not being “black enough” or for not “understanding the plight of urban blacks.” Which makes them, exactly like you!

The only blacks that are traitors to their race are 95% that vote democrat. The 5% that are intelligent enough to follow the dream of Dr. King vote on the content of the candidate’s character. Which is why they voted against the socialist Obama and voted for Governor Romney.

When that one day you get to the pearly gates Adolf, I hope Mr. Douglass, Dr. King, et.al. are there so you have to answer to them as to why you were such an ignoramus here on Earth.
