Marine Voluntarily Stands Guard in Front of School
ModBee– Marine Sgt. Craig Pusley was on duty Wednesday. Desert camo fatigues, knees slightly bent, the young father stood a self-imposed watch at Hughson Elementary School.
One man. No rifle. No pay. No breaks.

“When I enlisted, I swore to defend this country from all enemies, foreign and domestic,” said Pusley, 28. He served two tours in Iraq, in Baghdad and Ramadi, and one in the Helmand province of Afghanistan before leaving active duty last year.

I’m just waiting for the first person to complain. Of course, they’d never do it to his face, but there will (sadly) be complaints.

looks like an example of a real “public servant”.
this is the type of American that should be elected to public office.
harry reid, ted kennedy, nancy pelosi, john boehner, mitch mcconnel or dianne feinstein ever do this sort of thing? yet they would all claim to be great public servants.

He’s not the only one:
“After the tragic events at Sandy Hook Elementary School one Tennessee father and retired marine is standing guard at his children’s school and parents say he’s a welcome addition to the school. Jordan Pritchard, a former Staff Sergeant in the US Marine Corps, pulled down his old Marine Corps uniform from the attic Sunday night and decided to make a difference in his community. When he was in the military his job was to keep our country safe and for the next week he planned bring that safety home by standing guard outside the front door of Gower Elementary School.
He says it’s his responsibility. ~WTVF, Nashville”
God bless our troops, they are real heroes.

i can hear some braindead lib ( i know redundant) on the school board scream ‘ the kids will be tramatized seeing someone in a military uniform, we can’t have this”
I hope the parents at the school strangle anyone who speaks out against these folks that are true public servants
thank you soldier.

Thank you Gracie for this story. He’s making a good impression on those kids. Those kids will forever remember someone stood a protecting guard over them.

@Tuesday, “Those kids will forever remember someone stood a protecting guard over them.”
Yes, they will.
And I’m sure his presence is more reassuring than knowing that when seconds count, the police are just minutes away.

Just another example of why America is exceptional, even if the Moron in Chief feels the need to bow to despots and apologize.
Thank you, Marine.

This is a fine example of the utopian society the liberals have created.
Have you ever known the necessity in the history of the US where it was required that a soldier stood guard at a school, let alone an elementary school?!
This is truly a sad commentary on our brave new world.

If Queers Piers were standing guard he would be the first to soil himself at the first sign of little Timmy calling Billy a doodoohead.

Yeah well, if numb nuts gets his way, this soldier is a dying breed. He will become obsolete in favor of the new transgender/lesbian/homo/feminized/sissy soldier of tomorrow.
I forget who mentioned it some time ago, but I agree with, that all the real soldiers should resign in defiance of the new policies implemented in the current commander-in-chief.
Imagine what will happen when these fine soldiers become an enemy of the people they are suppose to protect?

I would feel more comfortable if he had his rifle with him. Just standing there makes him a target for a drive by shooting. This may be the soldier that Big Sis was worried about and took his gun away. With no weapon, it makes him the target.

In my high school we had race riots in ’69 and ’70. After one of the teachers was thrown out of a 3rd story window, we had cops patrolling the halls. I had them sign my yearbook.
Thank God for them and for all the wonderful men and women who will follow this man’s example.

Install a perimeter fence
December 20th, 2012
School security is not that hard.
INSTALL A PERIMETER FENCE
When I bought my first house I had a perimeter fence installed.
No dogs pooping in my yard.
No one stealing Xmas stuff.
Schools should all have a fence. The fence should have access points with 24 hr. guards. School starts. No one comes in.
How hard is this. A 20 something punk is not going to be able to get past a perimeter fence.

The deadliest thing on the planet is a Marine with a rifle. The second deadliest thing on the planet is a Marine without a rifle.
‘Nuff said. Semper Fi, Marine.
