FAKE!

‘Golden Eagle Snatches Kid’ video fools the Internet
By Melissa Knowles

One of the newest videos making its way around the Net has turned out to be a hoax. In “Golden Eagle Snatches Kid,” the supposed eagle in Montreal, Canada, is first seen soaring in the sky above. It suddenly dives down and appears to grab a toddler, picking him up for a brief moment before dropping him back down.

The encounter seems plausible at first, but it has just been confirmed to be the work of clever computer graphics wizardry. For an entire day until now, YouTube and blog commentators debated whether the video was authentic.

Doesn’t matter the authenticity. The point has been overlooked: Children need to be banned in open wilderness areas. The same as we need to spend to keep from going bankrupt. The reality of the situation has nothing to do with actions. FORWARD!

Kind of figured this was plausible if one of these big eagles could take own a small deer.

Cool. They must have made it look bad (shooting the ground as they ran to help) to fool us. It did fool me.

Years ago I read a story about a couple on vacation in Wyo. or Mont. The wife had a little dog which the husband despised. At a rest stop the husband was walking his wife’s little dog when an eagle swooped down and made off with the dog. He was delighted and she was quit upset.

However, according to snopes, this too is a hoax oft retold with different details.

not as dramatic but entertaining, a woman in Alaska has a bald eagle that hangs out on her deck with her 3 cats and a wild fox.

The user who did the cat-fox-eagle You Tube video also has some great other videos of bald eagles, check out her other stuff.

I called it! (No, I didn’t) The baby wasn’t reacting nearly strongly enough immediatetly afterward. For an eagle to pick him up it would have had to dig its’ talons deep into the baby’s body. The kid should have been shrieking in pain.

The crying sound also doesn’t track the video of the baby, and much of the crying noise takes place when they cut away from the baby. Also, the “reaction” from the cameraman wasn’t nearly shocked enuff
