State Dept. defends arrest of Marine Veteran being held in Mexico on gun charge
Yesterday this photo of Marine Veteran Jon Hammar (h/t: Daily Mail) who was arrested in August of this year on a gun charge was anonymously sent to Jon’s mother. Basically Hammar was carrying an unloaded antique rifle that happened to be an inch too short by Mexican standards. Our border agents checked it out and told him it was OK to take it into Mexico and had him fill out a form. When he got across the border he gave Mexican officials the form and was subsequently arrested for carrying an illegal weapon into Mexico. He’s been there every since and there’s been no luck in getting him freed.
Fast forward to yesterday when the photo was sent showing him shackled to his bed. The State Department also sent a letter to Jon’s mother who was on Fox and Friends this morning to discuss it. In short, the State Department now appears to be defending Mexico and seems relegated to let whatever happens, happen

Good, God, these douche nozzles care more about Muslims at Gitmo than they do about a US veteran.
F*ck them. F*ck them all.

So this Marine served his country, his country gave him bad info that got him into trouble in Mexico, and now his country’s government is going to let him rot in some Mexican hellhole.
God damn this country.

I hope you jmust mis-stated that in place of “~this country’s slimy, stinking, putrid, pathetic excuses for leaders”. Godd for you in that case.
Otherwise, I don’t like your tone…

This makes me sick. Treating a veteran like this is a crime.
Perhaps someone should chain Mr. Holder in a basement and force him to watch the CBN 24/7 for as long as it takes to get Mr. Hammar out. Hammar would be home in 20 minutes.

It’s bad, but I remember a guy crossed over in Arizona and was locked up for many months for just having some shells in his glove compartment. They eventually let him go after some politicians got involved and they realized that couldn’t extort any more money from his family.

I think we should go down there with some apaches or A-10s for air cover and bust him out.

perhaps when Hillary is answering about Bengazi, they can fit into the dialogue what is happening with an ex Marine rotting away in one of Mexico’s most dangerous jails….
