From the wiki
“Intentional homicide may or may not include infanticide, assisted suicide or euthanasia. Intentional homicide demographics are affected by changes in trauma care, leading to changed lethality of violent assaults, so the intentional homicide rate may not necessarily indicate the overall level of societal violence”

“on any given day nearly 700 children are harmed due to accidents on our roadways. Of the 250,000 kids injured each year, approximately 2,000 die from their injuries. Children make up about 5% of total fatalities due to car accidents. In fact, for children between the ages of 2 and 14, motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death.”
Using liberal logic, Obama is responsible for killing children since he insisted on bailing out GM (unions). I guess we need to ban cars that carry more than one passenger.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed
^^^That means that the people of the state shall have the weapons necessary to prevent the state from becoming an oppressive state…In other words, If the government attempts to become rulers and kings, the people have the right and means to rid themselves of the problem. There is no mention of duck hunting, squirrel hunting, deer hunting or skeet shooting. The 2nd Amendment is the most important of all, as it ensures us the ability to maintain all others.
Never forget that. The 1st Amendment has been successfully hi-jacked by the left, so I am resigned to pray privately, I can deal with that…but I will not become prey to them!

Chicago had over 5000 murders between 2001 and 2012. They have about 12,244 sworn police officers and some of the most strict gun laws in the country. Blacks are 33% of the population and commit 78% of the murders. 94% of the blacks killed are killed by other blacks.
So tell me what new laws or bans will alter those statistics.
It is estimated that there have been over 54 million abortions since Roe V Wade. At what point is a life precious and at what point does a life mean nothing?
Obama cries for the children killed in my home state but voted against measures that would have spared the lives of children from botched abortions. What a compassionate guy. What a hypocrite.

We are apparently swinging away from concepts of racial equality towards concepts of Balkanization in this country, so let us continue along this politically incorrect path with regard to homicide rates. What is the homicide rate for the United States for different racial groups? For example, one study showed that the black homicide rate is about 17.90 per 100,000 and for whites 2.92 per 100,000, and the overall homicide rate was 4.76 per 100,000. (2009 data used in this report). Interestingly enough, the overall U.S. homicide rate seems to be decreasing. The homicide rates for Hispanics was lower than for blacks, but higher than for whites. Asians were apparently the least homicidal of the bunch. With regard to blacks, the WSJ estimated that 94% of black homicide victims were killed by blacks.
What does this mean? It means that perhaps we should set political correctness aside for a bit and focus on what the problem is here.

No where in the 2nd Amendment is the topic of hunting mentioned. The 2nd Amendment was to ensure the populace be armed to protect them from an oppressive government.

Even over there they get it. Next, a survey popped up about the US military spending. Only 47% said the US spends too much on the military and the sample was only 21% republican! (if you grab those screen shots, BFH, it would be IMHO a GREAT post) Don’t let the progs hi-jack the 2nd Amendent!!!

While looking at this list something just dawned While reading that list something dawned on me – We continue to let millions of people immigrate to this country from these shitholes with essentially NO way to screen if they give a damn about our laws other than to make them take some watered down class on citizenship and sign some piece of paper that they probably took no time to read. And that is the group of people that actually try to enter here legally. There are millions of others who sneak in illegally or are given visas with essentially no concern about their desire to adhere to our laws.

Japan is a GREAT example! Centuries of war and blood-letting against nearly every other country on the Pacific rim until the US finally had to hand them their asses in the most spectacular fashion in recorded history less than 3/4 of a century ago.
Of course, WE are the bad guys for that.
Instead of destroying themselves through violence, the Japanese are committing slow demographic and cultural suicide, much like similarly enlightened countries in Western Europe. While there’s much to admire about Japan’s massive cultural shift in the post WW2 era, a brief period of relative non-violence in their long history fails to impress me.
And like Fur mentioned above, Japanese society is a far different thing than the US. For one, you have 160 million-some odd people crammed into a very tight space. They are nearly all of the same race, culture and language. There’s not a lot of “us against them” within the society and they are almost mind-numbingly conformist.

The population of Japan is also 98.5% ethnic Japanese. If you extrapolate that to this country and say the U.S. was 98.5% white, the murder rate would be next to nothing as well. That is not racist because most murders are committed by blacks against blacks. It’s a fact.
On the Wiki page there is a table listing murder rates by region and by subregion. By region, “The Americas” is 2nd out of 5 with 15.4%. So it LOOKS like “America” (read: the United States) is really bad but we’re not.
By subregion, North America is 13th out of 22 with 3.9% while South America is 5th out of 22 with 20%, while Central America is 2nd out of 22 with 28.5%! We are relatively harmless compared to the rest of our hemisphere.
If some libtard gives me the gun violence BS again, I’m pointing him to this wiki page.

@Menderman — Possibly. We could do more research and still not find out why. As @Commissar M said:
That’s a very close assessment of Japan. For a long time, a Japanese believed that if he died before age 45, he hadn’t given enough to the community and was a debtor to society. After that age, he had fulfilled his societal contract. That type of peer pressure is immense and the need to conform is great. Many Japanese still believe that way.
On the other hand, the culture in this country tends to be rather individualistic, despite what the libtards want and do. With that type of mindset you can have personal conflict on almost every level of society. So in our case, we’re good people, just as nice as anyone else in the world, but there seems to be a greater instance of conflict. In this country, if your boss dresses you down in front of the other employees, many people would just flip him the bird and walk. Or get a lawyer. In Japan, the employee would be embarrassed beyond belief and even his family would feel shame.
With our type of individualism there is a need for something, as the libtards love to say, to level the playing field. Your boss is likely to be more understanding of how to be a good manager if he thinks you will go home and get your gun. You’re likely to not go postal if you think he has one.

According to some sources I have reviewed, as well as reports from people who have spent time over there, Japanese people don’t particularly cotton to outsiders. There are people who have lived in Japan for years, speak the language fluently, abide by the local customs, but are still considered outsiders. And this percentage is very small – most of Japan is populated by people of Japanese heritage.
Not that I care – I don’t – but comparing Japan to the United States in terms of population makeup is probably not valid. We have sizable numbers of various rational, ethnic and national groups, many with their own customs and habits; basically, we don’t have a homogeneous society while Japan largely does.
An interesting experiment (if I controlled the world) may be to introduce large numbers of non-Japanese people into Japan and see what would happen. Furthermore, and for added levity, let’s grant these “outsiders” the right, as well as encourage them to claim that they don’t have to abide by their host country rules and traditions because this would be racist – for example, Koreans can tie up traffic in Tokyo while waving Korean flags and demanding official recognition of Korean culture and tradition.
My guess is that the rate of homicide would rise significantly.

Japanese make the KKK look like reasonable folk. They detest and shun any from their race that interbreed…even (or especially) those that do so with other Asians. I can’t help but notice that Switzerland has an exceptionally low murder rate, yet has a very high rate of gun ownership.
At least half of Swiss homes have at least one privately owned automatic weapon.
The difference?
Relative cultural unity that doesn’t spawn savages.
They have been importing mooslim savages though, so have seen big increases in violent crimes, especially rape.

When DNA tests were done on Koreans and Japanese, it was discovered that they share DNA. That is, the Japanese are an offshoot of the Koreans. The howling from the Japanese media and intellectuals could have been heard on the moon.
The reason the left loves to point to Japan as the perfect country with gun control and a low murder rate? They’re racist to the point of xenophobia, just like the liberals in this country.
