Grinches Steal Thousands In Christmas Care Packages Meant For Deployed Troops
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – About $5,000 worth of packages that were meant for the troops in Afghanistan were stolen from a Sacramento warehouse.
“There’s all sorts of stuff in here,” said Scott Raab, at the charity Move America Forward.
The big boxes were loaded and ready to go. Inside were some of the comforts of home like coffee, beef jerky, jelly beans, deodorant, sanitation wipes, and something for the season.
“We, of course, got this Christmas stocking,” said Raab.
There were also Christmas cards, along with personalized notes from Americans saying thank you for your service.
Sometime Monday morning there were some creatures stirring as the last of the Christmas care packages were being sent out.
“We had loaded up all the care packages to be delivered for Christmas, and what happened is they actually broke the lock,” said Raab.

I don’t think it will happen, but there is paid postage, so maybe the packages show up as intended.
Stranger things have happened.
I don’t want to side with the crooks, but a container heist as I understand this was, they usually don’t inspect what they grab.

Deployed in ’03 to ’04 those packages meant a lot. Rather then sent to speific units our church tent was the recipenent and stacked them on tables in the foyer.
The BX was unable to stock so many idems we needed including tooth brushe & paste, zip locks (protection from the dust of Afghan), shoe laces etc BUT the church boxed had ‘e,. And special candy, coffee beans, dental floss, soap, extra thick socks for those cold nights.
It was great & blessed are the Americans angels who sent it…except for the romance novels.

Donations will probably pour in to replace what theives yook because, fortunately, there are far more decent people than scumbags. But think how much we must do everyday to protect ourselves from scum. Every lock on a home, business or car,every security system, police, lawyers, judges jails, the expense of housing these cruds is a huge part of our national output. They steal and yet have nothing. A boil on society and they deserve no peace.

They might not ever get them if they are deployed to Shitghanistan. My son never got any of the packages I sent to him there every month. He did get all the ones I sent to Iraq when he was there.
I am told that they don’t have proper fly-in mail service in Afghanistan so they have to truck it in on the one IED infested road they can use, in the Kandahar region of that wasteland shithole.
