One of the ways to enact “change” is to ignore the problem in hopes that it reaches crisis level and d-bags beg the government to “do something!”

Despite his calls for greater gun control, including a new assault weapons ban that extends to handguns, President Obama’s administration has turned away from enforcing gun laws.

That’s the trick. Ignore the law in order to write a more draconian law.

    It’s not only that progtards are too fucking stupid to realize that gun bans would be as effective as drug and prostitution bans…..but they HATE children so much (50+ million and counting) They want them murdered which is why they don’t want anybody to be a to DEFEND the children – with a gun.

    Progressive = Stupid and Evil.

    The other layer to this is that when another attack occurs – and it will (they’re counting on it) – more stringent laws will need to be enacted. It will become a never ending spiral of new legislation and lost rights that doesn’t address the actual causes of violence.

    Now, the government loves this approach. It lets them target the most dangerous weapons first – and I mean the most dangerous to them, if we were ever forced to throw off the chains of tyranny again. It’s the same approach they’re using with the upper 2% of the wealthy – villainize and punish.

    Then, just as taxes will move toward the middle class, gun bans will slide into non-assault and sport weapons. Think it can’t happen? Read up on the Australian gun ban and buyback in ’96. A propaganda campaign after a massacre convinced most of the population to voluntarily turn in their guns, all the way down to .22 rimfire rifles and target guns. Once the crime rate skyrocketed by 6000% people began demanding their guns back. They haven’t gotten them yet.

    After a few years and myriad unsuccessful laws that do nothing to make society any safer, suddenly you have no gun, no protection, and no rights. Earlier on another thread someone called me a peasant; “subject” might be more accurate.

    @Xavier
    You sir, have hit the nail on the head.

    This anti-gun roller coaster ride we are all on is still only chugging up that first big incline. We are about to crest the top, and then wooooeeee down the incline we go. We’ll have to hold on tight, cause it’s going to be one hell of a ride before it’s all over and done with. I am praying all the libtards (surrender monkeys) with their hands in the air get flung off the ride. And when the ride ends and we are able to catch our breath, liberty will be the order of the day. God willing.

    If only that would work with immigration laws.

    @Xavier,

    You did hit the nail on the head.

    I called my congressman this morning and one of my Senators (Dem – waste of time) and will call them again and again.

    Greyscape,
    “playing possum” isn’t “play” to a possum. It is its method of operation.

    Similarly, “stupid” isn’t descriptive, it is how Progressives cunningly choose to accomplish Evil.

    You could more accurately write: Progressive = Evil.

    @Xavier – after a massacre convinced most of the population to voluntarily turn in their guns, all the way down to .22 rimfire rifles and target guns. Once the crime rate skyrocketed by 6000% people began demanding their guns back.

    does that correspond to the percentage increase of “newbies” on “their personal struggle”
