Charlie Daniels

I find it practically impossible to believe that the majority of this nation can’t see the incredibly dark future that is hanging over this country, the austere and strictly regulated lives we are passing on to our children and grandchildren for generations to come.

When I write something like this on my Twitter account, I usually get a tweet or two that tells me just how dumb I am, and that the moves Barack Obama is making are for the benefit of the little man, and that all I care about is rich people and the tweet is usually salted generously with four letter words.

Well let me make a couple of statements. I come from a blue collar background; I have worked in the log woods, bright leaf tobacco fields and a factory, all for minimum wages.

I have worked at something since the summer I was 10 years old. I have never drawn an unemployment check and the only government assistance I’ve ever had is a social security, which is not assistance at all but money I have paid in and am still paying in.

Everything I have ever accumulated is by the blessings of the God I serve and the sweat of my brow, not to mention sacrifice and the kind of tenacity you have to reach real deep for.

I have employed 30 people for over 30 years, tax-paying citizens who don’t collect food stamps or draw an entitlement check.

I believe in treating my employees the best I can, and many of them have been with me for over 30 years.

Now let me ask you a question: who deserves the fruits of their labor, the employees themselves or the federal government?

If your answer is the federal government, then you are a lost cause and may as well stop reading right here.

I have a relative who believes “everything will be alright because this is America and the politicians have to follow the Constitution, this happens all the time, it’s just politics as usual, everybody’s overreacting, nothing’s going to harm the U.S.”

No fact or news article will open his eyes. While some might say his faith is admirable, I have to agree with Mr. Daniels and call it “head in the sand” syndrome. I wonder how many people who think this way are responsible for the election results, and how surprised they’re going to be when the edicts of the next few years are implemented.

I’m sick of it too. I’ve learned that most Demoshits are racist greedy ignorant fucks….accusing hardworking generous Americans of the same.

Every word Charlie said was right.

I agreed with the left when they complained that Bush was spending too much money and it was bad for th country. The difference is that I didn’t stop beieving that because a D took over and doubled the spending…why did they? Like Charlie said, deep down they know it is true. Are they afraid they will be called a racist if they oppose Obama like they do to us? I pity the good people living in cities…when this explodes, your life will become a living hell.

I have a relative who said: “Nothing’s gonna change.” and “I haven’t heard about any new taxes.”

And he isn’t retarded or stupid – he just believes, like a lot of people, I suspect, that the United States runs on auto-pilot.

    Good article, Mr. Daniels.

Jack & Jill both worked for this large multinational corporation. The
President of this company said to one of his managers that he needs to lay off
one of his employees. The manager replies that he hired both Jack and Jill at
the same time and they were the last to be hired so doesn’t know who to lay
off. the president says go make an executive decision. The Manager approaches
Jill and says I’m going to have to lay you or jack off. Jill replies you
better jack off because I’m not in the mood.
