He didn’t “quit”, he was hounded and driven out of his profession.

How many time do you think he re-read that rant and was tickled by the smugomine.

So glad that my kids are raised and they are on their own with good jobs. Neither of my children plan to have children which is okay with us. With today’s tragedy, and with the way children are taught liberalism in the school, it’s few less grandchildren that we have to worry about.

And our youth lose another teacher who has the ability to spark the life long joy of learning. It should have been the so called leaders of this school that were shot today, for treason.

Claudia,
Even the teachers in the parochial schools and the charter schools have to comply with inane mandates. I know great teachers who cannot wait to get out because they cannot teach at teachable moments. They have to follow the pogrom.

Maybe he can privately teach kids, ala homeschool?
Get a small group of kids at a church, at a home or where ever and charge them as he would if he were teaching piano.

Educrats and teacher unions, an unbeatable duo of educational destruction. What they are doing to our children is criminal.

And of course this is all deliberate. The communist running our school system now will force round pegs into square holes if they have to crush and mash them in. No emotions. No feelings. No humanity. It’s the People’s Way or no way.

No one wants to talk about the core issue, which is “bad” behavior, because they know nothing will ever be done about it. I am so glad I decided not to go into that profession.

The only time he made sense was when he complained that he could not tutor kids. The rest was not impactful. Complaining about the kid’s breakfast lunch and recess time. Looks like he may have enough years to retire on anyway which of course makes the decision to substitute in another state easy.

You may think I’m a nut but I believe we should go back to separate boys and girls schools. Introduce school uniforms, bring back corporal punishment and insist on discipline. Teach civics, get rid of so called ethnic studies. Teach American History, Read American and world literature. Learn poetry. Learn math. Learn how to write ENGLISH. Learn how to speak ENGLISH.
That kind of stuff worked for many years until we invented the Department of Education, and the Communists took over. And won.

Listen more closely to what this guy is saying. His life began to suck when standardized tests were introduced. A good teacher shouldn’t be afraid of those, only those teachers that can’t teach, who pass students on to the next level without imparting the requisite knowledge are the one that complain about them. Listen again to this guy and hear the liberal buzzwords in his speech. Frankly, any teacher who is surprised that a grade school cafeteria soon becomes very loud and has to resort to “silent lunches” in order for him have his sandwich in peace really shouldn’t be teaching.

No we don’t need separate boys and girls schools and those ugly uniforms! But we need teachers who are not afraid to speak out about how wrong our the educations process has become. And yes we do need to trash the fluff and accentuate the reading writing, arithmetic and true history, not the politically manipulated history that is taught today. Its the liberal textbook writers who have their own agendas who are part of the problem.
