ESPN analyst asks if RG3 is a ‘cornball brother,’ questions him having ‘a white fiancee’

DC

On ESPN2′s “First Take” Thursday, ESPNNewYork.com columnist Rob Parker reacted to Washington Redskins starting quarterback Robert Griffin III’s comment in USA Today that he won’t be defined by his race. An upset Parker responded by asking if Griffin was “a brother, or is he a cornball brother?” and questioning both his reported Republicanism and his decision to become engaged to a white woman.

“I am an African-American in America,” Griffin told USA Today. “That will never change. But I don’t have to be defined by that. … We always try to find similarities in life, no matter what it is so they’re going to try to put you in a box with other African-American quarterbacks — Vick, Newton, Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon … That’s the goal. Just to go out and not try to prove anybody wrong but just let your talents speak for themselves.”

    Is someone putting firewater in sportcasters coffee these days?!
    I’d love to ask Parker what crop it is they grow on the ESPN plantation ?

    Based on his comments, I wish for RGIII much success in his career.

    Is it just me or have you noticed how most blacks are now coming out of the closet and have no problem being openly hostile towards whites as well as blacks that happen to be conservative?

    No matter if they are athletes, celebrities, musicians or politicians. They have no qualms in spewing their sh*t. Meanwhile, no one calls them on it. Everyday, you can read at least a dozen stories about blacks exercising their new empowered anti-white crap and following it up with open violence against whites- although, they tend to get violent while in groups, like the pack of savage animals and cowards that they are.

    I imagine they hate the likes of Alfonzo Rachel, Sowell, RGIII and other brothers a lot more than they hate us crackers.

    Jack it’s just like the moslems. Even the ones who aren’t openly hostile give tacit approval to extremists.

    Apparently civilization doesn’t agree with either group.

    It must be so difficult for Liberals, the natural racists of this country, to have to pretend to be outraged by “racism.” Like a porn-loving preacher who has to pretend to be offended by porn.

    They must breathe a sigh of relief every time a black man is a conservative because finally FINALLY, they can let their racist flag fly free.

    @RickeyG

    A fried corn ball is another name for a hush puppy. Brown on the outside, white on the inside. Along the same lines, Hawaiian secessionists deride others of their “race” by calling them bananas.

    It’s how the liberals try to inject a little humor and an in-joke to their racism.

    African-American?
    really?
    So…
    what’s listed as the place of birth on his birth certificate?
    what’s wrong with just being an American?
    The more I hear this entitlement bullshit, the more hatered, disdain and disgust I have for the black race.
    they don’t want to better themselves and live in unity, they want to be special, and use this shit as a crutch to get by in life..

    And I’m sure this sportscaster doesn’t owe his job to the fact that he is black. Of course not, there’s no doubt he was the best possible candidate for the job.

    @Jack Daniels–

    Why shouldn’t they be upfront with their bigotry and racism against whites? For the last forty years, there has been no pushbac or social stigma for doing so. Indeed, it has been encouraged and lauded by guilt-ridden, self-hating whites.

    As Sheila JacksonHyphenLee might say, and most blacks would agree, racist bigotry is an entitlement they have earned.

    @Thirdtwin,

    Yeah, well I for one am getting weary of it. I know I should not put everyone in the same category, but as I mentioned in previous posts, with statistically 97% of blacks being democrats, the onus is on them to prove me wrong so I don’t assume they are lowlife douche-bag racists.

    I happen to be a fan of RGIII.
    Now I respect him even more.
    He is a intelligent guy and fantastic athlete.
    He does need to play smarter to avoid injury.
    Especially when the “down with the struggle baboons” target him for “acting white”.
    Even if he wins a Superbowl for the Redskins, he won’t be the first black guy to do so.
    That belongs to Doug Williams.
    An interesting Superbowl in a couple years would be RGIII Redskins vs Peyton Manning Broncos.
    History repeating…

    I saw this crap the other day and I knew my favorite news site was going to pick this up. What if a white guy talked about a white player having a black spouse and being a democrat. Head would roll. When he scoffed at the idea that RG III was a Republican, I realized how narrow minded he was. He treats the democrat party as a plantation that blacks can never leave. These nuts are always talking about Martin Luther King and his dream; that people would not be judged by their skin color but by their character. Why do these idiots continue to make it about skin color? I hope RG III doesn’t listen to these fools. They bend themselves up into pretzels trying to be politically correct and end up sounding retarded. I will never watch that show again.

    And the long and the short of it is: Real black men braid their hair. Cornballs date white women. If you are black and stupid you can say anything you want and you’ll be forgiven.
    Until yesterday I had no idea who RG3 or Rob Parker was. Now I know and I don’t give a flying fu*k about them.n Parker is a racist. Good look to RG3, I hope he wins a superbowl.
    Coming up next: On the advice of harry bellafonte, obama jails all who oppose him.

    It just occurred to me. Since I do not have cable or watch tv, can anyone here tell me; Have you ever seen a black spokesperson for a charity such as world vision, feed the children etc? It seems to me every time I have ever seen people asking for help in these areas, it is always cracker helping blacks; or have you ever seen blacks going on tv to ask other blacks, or anyone for that matter to help in war torn, or poverty stricken cracker nations?

    I’m curious to know what they do for the world as a whole in terms of helping rather than demanding and receiving?

    How many times should I forgive my brother? 70×7
    It is time to heal, and let the past remain in the past. The civil war is over, and it is time for Nation building. I am married to an interracial wife, and have two beautiful children. The most important thing about marriage, is that you love one another. Love never fails. Love believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. We will get along when we do unto others, as we would have them to do unto us. So enjoy watching sports, and go to Church so that you can learn to love your brother.
