@Unneutral — The point here is that we were able to knee-cap 0bama. He tried to foist another one of his socialist boot-lickers on us and we said no.

It would sound strange to say it’s not a big victory because it actually is. This is Dear Leader’s choice to traipse around the world apologizing for the U.S. Yes, we will eventually get someone that will perform that function for 0bama. But every little dig is just another reminder that he does not run the country. He is merely the head of the gov’t and if we the people don’t like what he is doing, we still have the ability to say something about it.

Which just proves the fact that the 2012 election was stolen. You don’t get that many votes for re-election and then that much opposition to the first change in your cabinet. Many people did not want Susan Rice for SOS. But SOS (same old shit) is likely what we’ll get.

Alas, if only this meant the end of Susan Rice’s career. Unfortunately she is the leading candidate to be the next National Security Adviser, likely relieving Tom Donilon, and that will not require any confirmation.

She was paraded around back in September to be a distraction, and she played her part well. Like Chieftain says, she will be well rewarded for her efforts.
Now that all the political postering energy has been spent by the token Repugs Kerry will be pushed through the Senate without a whisper of resistance.

@ Chieftain–absolutely correct. And while we dance onnthe ashes of Rice’s SOS nomination hopes, Obama is getting ready to nominate Fareed Zakaria as his SOS. Rice was just a feint; He let her go too easily. The GOP will jet Zakaria sail through so as not to be called islamophobic bigots.
