Full-page ad asks Cuomo to ‘imagine there’s no fracking’

Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon took out a full-page ad in the New York Times Monday to protest natural gas fracking in New York state.

“Governor Cuomo: Imagine there’s no fracking …” the adstates and urges New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to “give clean energy a chance.”

Ono and Lennon are part of “Artists Against Fracking,” a loose coalition of celebrities united in their opposition to hydraulic fracturing, a process by which natural gas is extracted from the earth.

Other artists in the anti-fracking group include Grumpy Old Men actress Daryl Hannah and transcendentalist fraudster Deepak Chopra.

The ad claims “no amount of government regulation can ever make fracking safe” and says wells are bound to leak toxic chemicals into groundwater.

A moratorium has banned fracking in New York since 2008 but Cuomo is considering lifting the ban and allowing the practice in five upstate counties near Pennsylvania, where more than 3,000 wells have been drilled.

Proponents of fracking claim the advertisement trucks in falsehoods and reveals how out of touch the wealthy celebrities who fund it are with average citizens.

“Was breaking up the Beatles not enough?” asked Steve Everley, spokesman for EnergyInDepth.org, a pro-fracking group. “Unemployed men and women across New York would like to imagine a future where they have jobs and can better support their own families.”

If Yoko let loose with the voice she has been gifted with in areas that frack the rocks would splinter automatically.

Don’t ever believe a liberal who says they are for “alternative energy” because what they really mean is they are for fantasy energy that does not work.

Once a different way of doing things becomes viable and profitable, like fracking, they immediately oppose it.

Right now, they are all in for solar and wind because solar and wind don’t work. If they ever did, liberals would turn against those “alternatives”, too.

By the way, I’ve Imagined There’s No Yoko. Many times. Many, many times.

The idiots who are standing in the way of the US tapping into our vaste energy reserves are helping destroy our country and are costing average Americans good paying jobs. Our prosperity is built on energy, and we’re blessed to have more than any other country on the planet. Cheap energy trumps cheap labor: it is key to a booming economy. These freaks who think they’re saving the planet aren’t doing anything of the sort. All they’re doing is helping drive this country off the damned cliff.

Who the bleep in their right mind is going to take advice from Yoko Ono and Daryl Hannah. A no-talent artist that married a bank and a low minded actress that banged Jackson Browne and a Kennedy (yech).

This takes me back to the first gulf war when she and her son pulled John Lennon’s “Give Peace a Chance” out and rode his coat tails again to protest the war. They managed to get a bunch of like-minded fart sniffers to join in such as Flea from the RHCPs.

She and Sean have never done an original thing in their life and it’s a shame Julian who actually has talent was ignored by the man who’s shadow Yoko and Sean try to follow.

We get the same kind of out of state Bidden-brained protesters here trying to shut down mining. I don’t like mountaintop removal mining much myself. But I dislike the hypocrite protester even more. I would respect them more and what they hav to say if they walked here rather than rather than coming here in fossil fueled vehicles or airplanes, slept outside in the dark rather than staying in a/c hotels with wi-fi and all the other nice things provided by electric power.
