This comments thread is completely true, and it’s the reason I *HATE* calling myself an atheist. I don’t especially try to get into theological debates with theists, because as I see it, it’s not a case of “I see hard facts and you all’re making things up”, it’s a case of “you see conditional evidence and take it to prove there’s a God; I see much the same evidence and take it to show the opposite conclusion”.

BUT, if I were to pick a religion to attack and disparage, you can bet your proverbial agricultural endeavor that it wouldn’t be Christianity. You know why? It’s because I look at Christians and, despite what Atheists say against the Bible and Christian doctrine, most Christians are just GOOD PEOPLE. I went to Catholic school for much of my childhood. I’ve seen many Christians in my life. And there’s something about Christianity that induces people to be good, upstanding human beings with a decent sense of morality.

And I can’t stand Atheists. All it seems to me is that people first become immoral relativists with a terribly nihilistic and personal sense of morality, then realize that no self-respecting religion can coexist with their twisted code of supposed ethics and they can’t be screwed to go become an ACTUAL Muslim, what with the 5x daily prayer ritual and all. So they become Atheists and spend their days harassing Christians to compensate with the nagging sense that they’re complete assholes and not all humans are like that.

So, Mr. Hat, I’ll be taking this picture and sharing it with all my Atheist (soon-to-be-ex-)friends. And good riddance to anyone whose best guess at a Godless code of ethics is the nihilistic abomination held by all them liberal Atheists. So, will atheists sponsor billboards with pictures of Mohammed and claiming he is nothing but a fraud? According to many atheists, Jesus did not exist and/or was not the Son of God – therefore Jesus is a myth. Mohammed, on the other hand, is a historical figure, and under atheistic thinking he should be one of the biggest con artists that ever existed.

Maybe a large billboard showing Charles Ponzi, Bernie Madoff and Mohammed together, with the slogan “Con Artists All, But One Kills,” will do the trick.

I had an interesting debate with an athiest friend once.
He claimed there is no God, and started on about the bible being written by man, blah, blah, blah,he went on about governemtn sanctioned religions, I went on about Constantines convictions,the reformation and Luther, blah, blah, blah, and then he told me something that blew me away.

He said he believed we have a spirit and that he believes we reincarnate and come back as something or someone else, because our intellect and consciousness or belief, something that we can’t see just doesn’t go away, but we know it exist even though theres no science to prove it, so our spirit must carry on.

My response “Wait a minute, you mock me for believing in an invisible God that you can’t see, who you say doesn’t exist because inspired men with a moral consciousness wrote down a codec creating the invisible boogeyman, but you believe in a process reincarnation, that you nor science can prove exist? Am I getting this right”?

We know gravity exist, we can’t see it, nor can scientist explain it (not to be confused with magnetics).
So why should I beleive gravity exist, maybe its just magic. Or maybe I should start calling myself and anti-gravitists.
