Our Very Own Conservative Candidate
Guess who has thrown his hat into the ring?:
I was at a PAC fundraiser several months ago and heard something I took to heart. Conservatives need to take back the country from the bottom up: township by township, county by county, state by state. Fill every office that becomes available from dog catcher to president. I took the advice and attended my township’s Republican caucus the other night and ended up getting nominated and voted in to be on the ballot next April for a minor elected position as a township trustee. If I’m elected, at least I’ll have the chance to see how the money is spent right here in my local community.
It’s hardly the start of any sort of political career, but if I’m in there, that means that some democrat or clueless rino isn’t.
________
Yea for you! Good luck and keep us informed!

Ooh a soldier to the trenches. Be ready to wade through the human wave of idiots and commies and their convoluted rules designed to automatically progress Socialism.
You have my respect for the effort.

Congratulations Even Steven, and good luck.
Please these words of advice from Davy Crockett:

“So you see, [legislators], you have violated the Constitution in what I consider a vital point. It is a precedent fraught with danger to the country, for when Congress once begins to stretch its power beyond the limits of the Constitution, there is no limit to it, and no security for the people.”

Thank you Even Steven for making a courageous choice to make a difference! You stated “for a minor elected position as a township trustee”, may this be just a stepping stone for a position that has greater impact. *Please note my intentions is not to belittle the position of township trustee.

You are doing an honorable thing by running for Township Trustee. I hope you get elected. We need more honest and trustworthy people in offices that concern our great country, even at the “minor” level

Speaking of…
Media outlets, even here in the State of Arizona, have not covered what happened in Pinal County, the fastest growing county in the United States. This county, around since 1866, has been democrat-run since its inception. However, this election cycle, for the first time in its HISTORY, voters kicked every democrat to the curb…except one. From County Supervisors to Assessor, the county is now run by Republicans.
And who’s the sheriff of the county? Republican Paul Babeu. Might be worth your while, BFH, to do a little digging here and see how Republicans took back this county from the clutches of a very well entrenched good ol’ boy political system.

Woohoo! One of our local TEA Party members announced (out of no where) that she had been thinking about running for county supervisor. The place went wild! Just shows to go ya how DESPERATE we proles are for competent, honest leadership.
Best of luck in the election. Please keep us posted. We’d be hell on campaign slogans…
Just think, you could be in a position to screw over Agenda 21 crap for your fellow residents! It doesn’t get any better than that!

Good job, Even Steven. If elected, would you be in a position to throw a no-work, but highly paid “consulting” contract my way in exchange for my canvassing the local cemeteries for new voters?
Or am I missing the point here?

Good for Even Steven! Remember to become a member of the precinct GOP in order to either vote directly for nominees to State and Federal seats or to vote for the people that vote for the nominees. Enlist your friends and other conservatives and depending on the district (one where a RINO has been elected) do it slowly and quietly so as not to alarm the prey. Then when voting time comes around (for the board of electors, slate of candidates whatever) spring your votes and elect a conservative as a nominee. Two years to the midterms, it can be done.

Nufftin: How nice for you! If only we could do that here in Pima County. When they passed “vote by mail,” I said at the time, we would never win another election, and we haven’t.
Tucson follows Stalin’s advice: whoever votes doesn’t decide elections – it is who COUNTS the votes. They do it the old fashioned, Chicago way; stall the counting until it is determined how many votes are needed for the Lib-dork candidate to win, make up that number plus a few hundred for “cushion,” and then destroy the ballots so no one can check.
