And why does this schmuck talk in such a bitter, sickening evil way in the voice-over when he’s supposed to be the good guy pointing out “evil”?

    Any positive image Asner generated through playing Lou Grant dissipated fairly quickly once people learned what an egotistical, ignorant ass he was. Economically he is an idiot, and politically he has supported numerous dictators and statists world wide. My guess is that he is doing the voice over on this piece because the teacher’s union had trouble finding anyone with some name recognition stupid enough to do this, and Asner fits the bill.

    The entire video was banal, inane, inaccurate and, for anyone with any bit of common sense, intelligence or self-respect, insulting. There are numerous messages – as common folk you are too stupid to become wealthy, you are too stupid to work hard, you are stupid because you believe firefighters and teachers caused the recession, you are stupid because you don’t believe the government, and you are stupid if you believe that private enterprise is anything but evil. I guess I’m trying to say that the common theme is “hey, ordinary person – you are stupid.”

    Asner is getting downright nasty and creepy in his dotage. He should not be allowed anywhere near a school.or daycare facility in any capacity. The California Teachers Coven should be sued for enabling this child abuse and doing so with taxpayers’ money.

    I Love this vid… Especially where they make the assumption that the Federal gov. builds roads, and schools, and hires police and firemen. Boy talk about an education Thank You Ed. I must have been wrong when I thought that paying my local taxes paid for my roads, schools and civic services. How could I have been so blind… Oh yeah, I went to public school, that must have been when the stupid set in. Sheesh!
