EUGENE, Ore. (CBS Seattle) – An Oregon man who was released from jail last week was arrested less than an hour later after police say he robbed a bank.
KVAL-TV reports that Christopher Franklin Weaver, 33, was arrested and wound up back in Lake County Jail on attempted robbery of a bank less than a mile from the county jail.
Weaver was released from jail at 11 a.m. last Thursday and then allegedly robbed a Pacific Continental Bank at 11:55 a.m.
“This isn’t necessarily a worst-case scenario, but it’s a very bad case,” Lane County Sheriff’s Sgt. Carrie Carver told The Register-Guard.
Bank tellers reportedly handed $490 over to Weaver.
