I’ve already stopped donating the them and switched party affiliations. The GOP is run by professional political operatives whose job is not to win elections but to gather wealth from false hope. They have failed to produce a winning candidate. They have failed to tame the media complex that seems very much in control by the DNC. And, what really clued me in to the GOP being a racket, was that they are starting to blather on about 2014 and 2016, like any of that matters now. Polls don’t matter. The hope of future power does not matter. Winning elections matters. And if the GOP can’t do that, then to hell with them. We’d be better off all converting to democrats and then picking better democrat candidates in the democrat primaries; so, at least, the DNC-government-media complex won’t work against those actions.

Re-route the funding to the Tea Party not for them to form a third party to run but rather to take over the GOP from the grassroots. This worked pretty well in 2010 and can work in 2014 and 2016 if the Tea Party stays on course and retains the fire that first brought them into being. They’ll have to run the gauntlet of the MSM but they can do it. With leaders such as Palin and Whittle they can destroy the power of the GOP “consultants” such as Steve Schmidt (who never saw a check he didn’t like) and elect people who couldn’t care less about being invited to the right cocktail party and the weak kneeded members would either quit politics or firm up their spines and help in the fight to make America great again.

I remain registered as a Republican so that I can vote in primaries for the most conservative candidate. In 2008, I chose to remain Republican despite having McCain forced on me by the establishment, inside-the-beltway GOP. But after 2012? I’m not feeling so loyal anymore. And if the talk of Jeb Bush is any indication, I think it’s safe to say, I ain’t sticking around.

I have not donated to the RNC for 20 years. They suck only slightly less than their only opponent.
It is time to give them both some real competition.

Since I learned long ago not to give the RNC or GOP a dime, except for my Orange County GOP which is run by my friends and neighbors whom I communicate frequently… Before I even click “READ HERE”, let me just say that I was actually just thinking about how badly we need to “boycott” the pathetic lying-ass media! A quick glance at the headlines of places like the AOL homepage reveals the absolute predictability of the purpose and the narrative of any given “story”. The lies are now so blatant and insulting that I can no longer read or comment on any of them because they just make my blood boil.

Never give them even a penny.
Am registered as a Republican, but crossed the line and voted for Hillary in the 08 Primary for obvious reasons.

I agree, give the money to the Tea Party candidates, at least they stand for something and don’t cringe in fear that the NY Slimes might say something bad about them.

I quit sending those idiots money in 2000.

I hope the floor of your ammo closet is well supported from underneath. An ammo supply can even cause steel shelving that holds 500-1000 lbs can cause sag. (smile)

Time for a reality ckeck.
We lost the last 2 elections by a slim margin. This suggests a close similarity between the candidates.
The Left controls the Media, and therefore controls the message. The Tea Party was effectively neutralized by the left.It has become the BullMoose party of this generation.
The Left also controls academia, thereby co-opting the next generation.
Changing demographics will be even more important in the future. Today’s illegal immigrant is tomorrow’s Democrat.
It seems to me we should reinvigorate the Republican Party by replacing RINOs with conservatives. We must develop a clearly stated, simple platform that resonates with a large cross section of voters.
And finally, we will need effective candidates. There are plenty of conservative thinkers out there who have not achieved national prominence, or have been poorly supported by the GOP.
Is this too much to ask?

We really only have two choices:
1. Conservatives take over the GOP and kick the liberals/moderates out, or
2. Conservatives leave the GOP and start a real “Conservative Party”, which will kill off the old GOP.
We don’t have much time to figure out which choice to make.

I didn’t donate since 2008. I can’t see throwing good money after bad.
They haven’t even the balls to scream “Election Fraud!” and take the Devil by the his horns.
They haven’t the balls to say “We’re in freefall, America, with $220 Trillion in liabilities that can NEVER be paid!”
They haven’t the balls to say “BO and the Demonrats are robbing you blind, with these stimulus and Solyndra type thefts – and all I got was pocket lint!”

Sarah Palin as the new RNC Chairman would be a good start for the Repubs, but it will never happen.
I think Ted Cruz nailed our winning plan for the future with his banner of “Opportunity Conservatism”.
The country needs to return to holding the common belief, based on our long, prosperous history, that ANYBODY has the right to be ANYTHING in America and nobody can stop you.
That 47% comment tells anyone even contemplating a conservative path that you’re gonna die where you started, so why even try.
It made even me wonder how little even Romney understands this great land.
Opportunity Conservatives/Conservatism. For the Land of Opportunity Again.
I like it. If it isn’t the Republican’s banner, maybe it can be the title of the new third party.

I haven’t donated to the RNC since the McCain disaster, but I can tell you that I did donate to several House candidates, and I purchased yard signs directly from Romney’s campaign.
That I was charged for the signs and never received them should tell you something.
Perhaps everything.

I recently changed my voter registration from Republican to Independent. I’ll still vote conservative, of course, but I think if enough people did this, it would wake up the GOP elitists.

@scr_north: “Re-route the funding to the Tea Party not for them to form a third party to run but rather to take over the GOP from the grassroots.”
Very well said.
I have never declared myself a Republican until this last election and that was just to be able to attend the caucus. I wanted to find out how it went down. I’ve always stated I was Independent and voted R most of the time. Never D. Sometimes I.
The Tea Party (that’s all of us; not JUST the organizations) must get rid of all the RINOs so we can get back to true conservative values. The RINOs that we kick out can start their own Dem-lite party.
So there.

We donate directly to candidates–and considering that we live in CA, our money usually goes to folks outside our district/state.
Plus, we try to donate to DeMint’s Senate Conservatives Fund. He’s done good work there.
BTW, did you all know that DeMint wanted Sarah Palin to have a prominent speaking role at this year’s Republican National Convention? The link below is from July, but I only just now saw it. DeMint wanted Tea Party people speaking at the convention:

I donated only to specific candidates: Romney/Ryan. West, Cain, Bachman, Gulianni,Brown, and others. I lost. But I refuse to give a penny to the National Republican Committee, or the NY State Republican Committee. Individual canditates only until they, the so called committees, wise to fuck up.

I was sent a questionaire and a request for donation back in 2009. I took a big red Sharpie and wrote on it “When the Republican Party grows a set I will fill out your survey and donate to the RNC. Until then forget it. RINOs control the party and it sucks.” I then stuck it back in their envelope and mailed it back. I haven’t donated to the RNC in over four years.

Oh God, I’m moving in with you guys. I disappointed so many robocallers over the last 4 years, they have probably started their own support group.
My basic line was that the RNC was a bunch of back stabbing weasels and their candidates were all RINOs.
I baited the hook by telling the fundraisers that if the RNC would apologize to Palin and adopt some of her positions, they could call me back for a donation. I’m still waiting.

Fred, I did not read the post as I have been advocating since the induction of McLame to be the nominee, to not send one THIN DIME TO THE RNC…DITTO FOR THE ROMSTER. true conservatives will no longer be denied as we are not being represented. send monies DIRECTLY to CONSERVATIVE, teaparty backed candidates. FUCK THE RNC.

Maybe we can make the GOP wake up, money makes their world go around and if we cut off even 25% they WILL feel it!
