State Senator Proposes Dissolving City Of Detroit
LANSING (CBS Detroit) - It would no doubt be controversial, but the idea of dissolving the fiscally struggling city of Detroit and absorbing it into Wayne County is being tossed around in Lansing.
WWJ Lansing Bureau Chief Tim Skubick reports some state Republicans are talking about giving the city the option to vote itself into bankruptcy. And mid-Michigan Senator Rick Jones said all options should be considered — including dissolving the city.
“If we have to, that is one idea we have to look at. We really have to look at everything that is on the table,” Jones said. “Again, if this goes to federal bankruptcy, every employee down there will suffer, the city will suffer and the vultures will come in and take the jewels of Detroit and they will be gone.”

Okay. I live in West MI and I’m sick of Detroit. Not the teams, the city.
Liberals, progressives, unions – YOU CAUSED THIS! It’s your fault. This is what your policies, that you are trying to force on the rest of the country, do to government.
You destroy your host. Then, when it’s dead, you move on to another. That sounds sort of similar to something else of heard of before…..

“Jewels of Detroit”??? What is this idiot talking about? Detroit is such a waste land that it would make a perfect back drop for another Mad Max movie. Once grand homes and building are now ruins. Here is liberalism for all to see. Detroit has been ruled by democrat mayors since the 60′s and MI has been a consistent blue state. Note, too that the unions have had near total control of the industies of that state as well.

When the cops warn tourists of a city’s dangers as a public service (and of course to extort more public funding) you know it really is over.
Until a wall is erected around Detroit that keeps productive members of the community imprisoned there against their will that French-named pest-hole will continue to dissolve until it ceases to qualify for a city charter and it is turned back into productive farm land.

Detroit is a Demonrat kleptocrat model city. I suggest that when we overthrow the socialists in DC we put barbed wire all around Detroit and fill it with socialists.
