NYT Reporter Falls for Hamas Ploy
NYT’s David Carr thinks terrorists are journalists because they spray-painted ‘TV’ on their car
The New York Times has again attempted to negate the presence of terrorists in the Gaza Strip. Reporter David Carr claims that two senior Hamas terrorists killed last week in precision Israeli airstrikes were in fact journalists.
The report, sensationally titled “Using War as Cover to Target Journalists,” contains serious factual errors that render the accusation that Israel “targets journalists” false. The Timesreports:
Mahmoud al-Kumi and Hussam Salama worked as cameramen for Al-Aqsa TV, which is run by Hamas and whose reporting frequently reflects that affiliation. They were covering events in central Gaza when a missile struck their car, which, according to Al-Aqsa, was clearly marked with the letters “TV.”
Yet al-Kumi and Salama were not journalists—in fact, they had spray-painted “TV” on their car in an attempt to disguise themselves as journalists and thereby prevent the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) from firing on them. The disguise didn’t fool anyone except for David Carr and the New York Times.
Who in fact were they?

If Israel were to go all in with 5th generation warfare tactics, Mr. Carr would likely turn up dead somewhere.

NYT covered for Stalin and uber-progressive Hitler….why is anybody surprised that they are covering/collaborating for/with the next holocaust?

He should thank the IDF for seeing to it that the paint was good and dry.

I know you only re-posted the WFB headline, but theirs, and by extension yours/ours is false and misleading. Carr didn’t “fall” for anything in this instance. It’s obvious from the story that the only “ploy” was the one to make Carr look like just a shitty reporter who haplessly relayed “the story as it was given to him”. When in fact, Carr knew, as does every other so called journalist who is brave/stupid enough to cover this story from inside the Jihadi sanctuary, that Al Aqsa is a Hamas front, and that the Jihadis were employing dishonorable cowardice by masquerading as mere support forces (media), much the same as when US JournOlisters disguise themselves as journalists, when in fact they are just unarmed Obama/Communist Party Operatives!

I think targeting journalists for airstrikes is a good idea. We should try that here.

The New York Times sucks. Anyone with a shred of dignity or a modicum of integrity would refuse to work there.
