Two things strike me as amazing about Murdoch’s tweet: First that he’s willing to propagandize in the face of California’s fiscal Armageddon, and second that he would crow to the masses that he doesn’t understand basic economics.

What you’re “missing” is the deliberate perversion of the Crucifixion. The mocking of the central tenet of Christianity. It always serves leftist ideology well to belittle Jesus, to “cut him down to size”.
