    If Texas WERE to secede, the GOV could theoretically take back all the military facilities there and the Houston Space center. He could repopulate the University of Texas with right-thinking faculty. He could ship the black population of Houston BACK to New Orleans. He could call Texans in the military back home to their OWN country.

    The possibilities stagger the imagination!!!

    The problem is, they bring all their failed socialist ideals when they move to Texas.

    I have a relative who recently transferred back to Texas for the second time in a decade. In the early 2000s, most of his coworkers were either native Texans or at least had lived there for many years. This time, the majority of his coworkers are recent transplants and primarily from failing blue states like Michigan.

    Much like the case in Florida, enough liberals will eventually flip a state politically and begin to rot its social and economic foundation.

    @Commissar M — That is exactly what happened to WA starting in the late ’80s. We used to be a thriving, normal, boundaried state. Now we are a “sanctuary” state for every low-life welfare seeker in the country, one of those states on every welfare undergrounder’s map as well as all the Somali refugees, illegal alien Mexican’s and assorted riff raff who need government freebies. I wish Louisiana’s sink hole was in King county.

    I have little doubt that the socialists will try to nationalize CA’s imbecilities.

    Or you can come here to Indiana, Texas’s smaller cousin.

    This election we said NO to Obama.
    We elected one of the most conservative Republicans in Congress, Mike Pence, to be our Gov.
    We also elected a super majority in the state senate/house.
    We have job openings all across the grid, a balanced budget with a surplus, low taxes and low cost of living.
    Aside from Kentucky, Indiana is surrounded by idiot states, but she’s rock solid, and bully-proof.
    Proud to be a Hoosier.

    During the Dust Bowl of the 1930s when groups of “Okies” migrated to California in search of work, California vigilantes beat them up, accused them of being communists, and burned their shacks down.

    Maybe they should go north to a Yankee state. Ohio maybe? They need the voters up there.
