    What? No mention that his retiring from Congress was part of his plea deal with federal prosecuters to shorten his prison sentence? Must have been a simple oversight from ABC….right?

    From USA Today:

    “Jackson hired former federal prosecutor Dan Webb to work out a plea deal on the campaign finance allegations. CBS News reported that the deal would allow Jackson to resign for health reasons, serve some jail time, require him to repay any campaign funds used for personal purposes and allow him to keep his congressional pension.”

    He gets to keep getting paid our money…for life!!!! Our government sucks!

    OK, I did the math. Triple J is 47. Average retirement pay for scum like him is $63,000 per year. If he lives to be 79, he gets a cool $2,000,000 from us for getting arrested for stealing from us.

    I have stated it b4 & will again because this scenario is the classic shit sandwich of the middle class, squeezed from the top by the ruling entitled & from the bottom by the “poor” entitled. much of what I am hearing these days after the hijacking of a democratic system, (forget about a republic) is why bother to improve your own lot in life, some sumabitch who needs your earned shit will just get it or on the horizon, take it.

    I hope it stuck in his craw that he had to give his letter of resignation TO A REPUBLICAN.

    Although, Boehner has become a caricature of a Republican. I’d rather see Paul Ryan or Eric Cantor as House Speaker. Someone with some balls to stand up to the Fascist “leadership” running the White House and Senate.

    So did he resign from the sitting Congress, or from ever being a Member of Congress in General?

    With a good lawyer and the shit written correctly, he could resign from THIS Congress and take his seat at the beginning of the NEW Congress and do his time before Jan.
